Where is mechanical energy on a roller coaster?
Mechanical energy is used on the chains that pull the roller coaster cars up the tallest incline, which is typically located at the start of the track. Mechanical energy is also used in the braking system that slows the cars to a stop at the end of the track.
How does newtons third law relate to a roller coaster?
Whenever one object exerts a force on a second object the second object exerts an equal and opposite force on the first. Since a roller coaster is on a ramp, the ramp has to support the (apparently larger) weight of the roller coaster, especially when it turns it back up against gravity at the bottom of each incline. The rollers on each car also prevent the cars from leaving the track on turns, by exerting a controlling force using the sides and upper half of the track.
When rolling downhill a rollar coasters potential energy is converted?
Yes.
At the top of the hill, the potential energy is at a maximum. As the coaster is rolling down the hill, the potential energy (or energy due to the coaster's position or height), is converted into kinetic energy (as the roller coaster is rushing downhill).
Hope this helps,

How do gravity and potential energy work together to give you a great ride on a roller coaster?
the gravitational potential energy of a roller coaster is equal to two things. Not only is it equal to the gravitational potential energy, it is also equal to the kinetic energy at the lowest point of the coaster.
the gravitational potential energy can be calculated as: m*g*h where m is mass (kilograms), g is gravity (9.8 m/s^2), and h is height (metres).d
the kinetic energy at the bottom of the coaster can be calculated as (m*v^2)/2 where m is mass (kilograms), v is velocity (metres/second).
What are 5 energy conversions in a roller coaster?
Why is a roller coaster not in the first law of thermodynamics?
Actually it is. The first law of thermodynamics tells us that you have to put energy into the roller coaster (in this case in the form of work) to get it to the top of the first hill; getting it to the top increases its potential energy. Once it starts moving down, most of that potential energy is converted to kinetic energy as it moves around the track. Over the course of its circuit of the track, energy is continuously converted back and forth between potential and kinetic energy - with some energy also being converted to heat through friction with the rails and with the air. Energy is conserved - thus we see the first law obeyed.
Does a roller coaster car have potential energy?
Yes, a roller coaster car has potential energy when it is at the top of a hill, due to its height and gravity. As the car descends, this potential energy is converted into kinetic energy as it gains speed.
As the car moves down the roller coaster track, the potential energy of the car decreases and is converted into kinetic energy. The total mechanical energy of the system (car + passenger) is conserved, so at any point along the track, the sum of the potential and kinetic energies remains constant. Using the conservation of energy principle, we can analyze the motion of the car and passenger along the roller coaster track.
Where on a roller coaster does energy transform?
As it starts to climb the lift hill, the electrical energy builds potential energy. On its way down the first drop, the cars gain kinetic energy (energy of motion) and lose potential energy (stored energy). When it goes up the next hill, the potential energy increases and kinetic decreases, evident in the cars slowing down. Potential is greatest at the top of the highest hill. Along the way, more energy is lost in friction and sound energy.
What would happen if you got struck by lightning on a roller coaster?
If you were struck by lightning on a roller coaster, the electricity would likely follow the metal framework of the coaster rather than passing directly through your body. However, there is a risk of electrical shock or burns if the lightning were to strike very close to you. Roller coasters are designed with lightning protection systems to help mitigate these risks.
Where can you ride the Cyclone roller coaster?
NEVER,
i think that it is too scary even for me and im a teenager! (14)
if you go on it you will proberbly cry or maybe even wet yourself,
so make sure you dont eat, drink before going on it
and also....................
go to the toilet first. =]
When in a roller coaster ride does potential energy become kenetic energy?
Potential energy becomes kinetic energy when the car begins its downward descent from the top of one of the rollercoaster's peaks. It accumlates potential energy as it is lifted to the first and highest peak. It regains some of its lost potential energy each time it re-ascends one of the lower peaks, then loses potential and gains kinetic energy as it drops again.
What changes in velocity could you make to make a roller coaster more thrilling?
Increasing the velocity of the roller coaster can make it more thrilling by creating stronger g-forces and faster changes in direction, leading to greater sensation of speed and excitement for the riders. Additionally, varying the velocity throughout the course with sudden accelerations and decelerations can add unpredictability and intensity to the ride experience.

What are the negative impacts that roller coasters have on people?
For some, it can be motion sickness. Others might include fears such as speed or height. Some might experience anxiety due to being trapped. Stress and anxiety can have both positive and negative effects on the body, physically and psychologically.
Hope this helps.
How many people die on roller coasters each year?
On average, about 4-5 people die worldwide from incidents related to roller coasters each year, according to the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions. Despite these tragic incidents, roller coasters are generally considered safe, with millions of riders enjoying them annually.
Who invented the tallest roller coaster?
The tallest coaster in the world is the Kingda Ka at Six Flags Great Adventure, wich is built by a Swiss company called Intamin. So basically you could say they invented it.
What are the working conditions of a roller coaster engineer?
They can be indoor or outdoor depending where they are building the amusement park.
How do you cheat on roller coaster creator?
you use the pencil and draw it on number two you have to correct it yourself sooo xx
Using a soft-bristle brush (or rotating, or ultrasonic), brush away from the gumline thoroughly, on inside (lingual), outside, and chewing surfaces. The aim is to remove soft accumulations of bacteria and tartar before they harden into plaque (which would harbor enamel-damaging bacteria and irritate gums). Flossing between teeth is highly recommended, and newer disposable holders make it easy to grip and slide.
Which RollerCoaster Tycoon is the best?
Roller Coaster Tycoon 3 Platinum Edition
Obviously Roller Coaster Tycoon 3
How do you get the mechanics to inspect the roller coasters in Roller Coaster Tycoon?
Getting mechanics is exactly the same way as getting Handyman and Security Guards. In your park there will be a bar up the top with options, click on the picture of a handyman. There will be a picture of mechanics on the top of that window. Click on that, then click hire mechanic and place him in your park.
How do you fix a crashed roller coaster on roller coaster tycoon?
I found this on a website, however it doesn't HELP with this situation. (I wrote how to really fix it, see below)
Use the following trick to avoid demolishing an entire ride after a crash. Once the ride crashes, the light will turn red and the ride will stop. A mechanic should appear and fix it. After he fixes it, press the "Stop" button twice, then the green button. If done correctly, the ride will start again.
If a ride crashes some people will begin saying that it is not safe and they will not go on it. To fix this problem, just demolish the ride and build the same ride over again.
As for the real answer--
I've found that deleting the station platform and then rebuilding it "resets" the ride. You can even put the entrance and exit in the exact same place and it'll be fine.
Hope this helps.
