No. This is a common miscomception. Fish need to move to filter water through they're lungs to get Oxygen. But Sharks gills contract and expand to draw water in and can remain motionless, and healthy like Nurse Sharks.

Well, if the Shark is coming towards you, don't panic. If you do, you swim too fastly or something, then you start to sink. Either calmly swim away in a fast motion, or call for help. A lifeguard or something should be there. Obviously, you're moving your legs fastly, or just moving your legs, or arms. So, the shark thinks you're fish and bites. When he tastes you, he realizes you're not fish, and swims away. That last bit of information was just to inform people that Sharks aren't monsters, and that they don't completely eat people. =))))

Or, just take off a piece of your bathing suit or clothing or whatever and try to give it to the Shark in place of you. xD

I've been going to Delaware (Dewey/Rehoboth Beach area) all my life and have not witnessed or even heard of a shark attack around that area. The sharks are very timid and hardly even seen there. I rarely even see dolphins! :)

Sharks see with their eyes. They dony use them alot because they use their nose to find their prey.

hardly!! just coz they're big doesnt mean they can hurt u! ur not allowd 2 touch them anyway. Plus they have no sting. I suppose they might get a bit freaked out if u harpoon them though...

Sharks have 3 layers of teeth. the first row are the mature teeth, the ones they use. the second layer are not quite mature but if a tooth is lost it moves forward to take its place. the third row are growing teeth. when a second row tooth moves forward the third row tooth takes its place and anotherthird row tooth grows in the third row
