The 94 series was manufactured from 1926 to 1945. Total production was 934,000, including the ones marked with other trade names.

If there is more to the name than just "J Stevens", it could have been made as early as 1864, but if that's all it says, then it was made between 1920 and 1948. Value will range from $25 for a parts-gun to maybe $75 if nearly perfect (or $100 if it is a .410)

1148 in 12 ga. auto, field grade, would probably sell for $200, if in very good condition. There is no such thing as a 270 gauge. It is a .270 Winchester caliber, in the 7400 Remington. In very good condition, it would likely $250 or so. The scope is usually a throw-in, and will only bring extra dollars if it is a Weaver, Redfield, Lyman, Leupold (unlikely). In that case...+$50 for a good weaver, $75 for a Redfield or Lyman, and $125 for a Leupold.

That one offered on Gunbroker.com must be gold plated or be new with the original cardboard box and hang tags from the store because these regularly sell for $150-$250.

That may depend on several things, but the most important thing for this particular gun is the barrel length. 12" is long for a pistol, but short for any smoothbore gun according to the BATF. Some manufacturers made .410 pistols with an 18 or 18-1/2" barrel that remained legal after the Gun Control Act of 1934, but I do not think any of the Stevens were more than 12-1/4". IF you have one with a barrel length of 18" or more AND an overall length of 26" it would be worth $100-$600 depending on its condition. Crescent was in business from 1892 to 1930. If it is a hammerless gun, it was not made before 1903. Value would be from $150-$250 and the Redhead recoil pad is an addon but it's not going to deduct anything from the value like it would on a high-end collectable.

14 gauge shotgun shells have not been commercially available in the US since the 1920's and there probably hasn't been a gun chambered for them made since WWI. If you want to give a little more information - like all the writing and symbols found on the gun, I can probably tell you a bit more.

Berkshire shotguns were manufactured by Meriden Firearms Co, Andrew Fyrberg Mfg Co, and Crescent Fire Arms for Shapleigh Hardware Co of St Louis and Sears Roebuck.

Several different trade names include the name Witte and were made for Witte Hardware in St Louis from the 1880's to 1920's. Double barrels marked Witte Special were made by J. Stevens A&T Co / J. Stevens Arms after 1914. If your gun actually has the "'s" on the name, it may be something different. Value as a shooter (only if approved by a competent gunsmith) or as a wall decoration would be $150-$250, depending on condition. * Just noticed that this is a 410. Add $50 the top-end price, even more if it is like new.

It's a Savage Model 73

Could have been made any time from the early 1900's up to about 1960. The guns were made by Crescent, Harrington & Richardson, and Iver Johnson for sale by Hibbard, Spencer, Bartlett & Co. Value today is $35-$75, maybe $100+ if absolutely like new.

1926-1945

I believe this is really a Savage/Stevens 311. If so, this number is probably on the right side of the receiver, or if it is a bit older it may be marked 5000 or 5100. These models were manufactured from about 1920 until 1989.

I can't locate this number in the cross-reference, but the JC Higgins name was used from 1908 to 1960. A store-brand bolt action shotgun will bring $75 to $125, depending on condition. your gun was made by H&R for sears High standard in 1946

All old and antique firearms are valued mostly by condition, quality and popularity. The true value of any firearm is what is it worth to you,the present owner. I have several good quality L.C.Smith and several Iver Johnsons all in very fine condition. I would consider the Iver Johnsons to be equal to or superior to the highly valued and much praised L.C.Smith. In my opinion the Hercules Grade is every bit as valuable as the lower grade and more popular LCS. The only difference being is that the L.C.Smith collectors are better organized. SaskJack
