Stevens serial number data has not been made public. Contact the Stevens Historian, Mr. John Callahan, 53 Old Quarry Road, Westfield, MA 01085. His research fee is $15 per gun. But if you just want to be close, that version of the company name was used from 1886 to 1915.

Need a few more numbers. The 583 tells me it was made by either High Standard or Harrington and Richardson. The part of the Sears number following the decimal point will probably identify which model it is. But, we really only need to know if it is a single shot, double barrel, pump, bolt action, or semi-automatic to put a price on any Sears branded gun. Or, you can go to Walmart or any sporting goods store and find the price on a new utility grade shotgun with the same action type in the same gauge. Then you can figure your used gun is worth between 1/2 and 3/4 as much, depending on condition.

Oxford Arms was a tradename used by the Belknap Hardware Company on shotguns they retailed through their mail-order catalog from c.1880-1920. Most were inexpensive utility grade guns made in Belgium and will have Belgian proofmarks underneath the barrels. The barrels themselves will generally be made of twist construction. Hammers and other parts would have to be made. Value is as a decorator piece only, $100-$200. Guns from this era and construction are considered unsafe to shoot with modern ammunition. www.countrygunsmith.net

I'm assuming you mean a Model 1921 with serial number 3879. Condition is everything - mint examples can bring over $300. Typical well-used guns about $200. www.countrygunsmith.net

Mossberg, and it is a version of their excellent 810AH rifle which was made from 1973 to 1977. www.countrygunsmith.net

It was made by the Baker Gun & Forging Co in Batavia NY. They are generally known for their double shotguns, but they did offer this little semiauto rifle from c.1901 through c.1918. The company was sold to H&D Folsom in 1919. www.countrygunsmith.net

Central Arms Co shotguns were actually made by Davenport for sale by Shapleigh Hardware. Original parts are going to be very difficult to find, since the guns have not been made in well over 60 years. A competent gunsmith could make whatever parts you might need, but the cost might get interesting. www.countrygunsmith.net

The JC Higgins Model 45 is simply the Marlin Model 336C as made for Sears. The base gun is still in production, although Sears is no longer in the gun business. www.countrygunsmith.net

That was a trade name of a New York hardware store. They bought guns from a distributor (likely HD Folsom) and had them marked with their brand name. The gun could have been made by Crescent, Stevens, Hopkins & Allen, or one of the other prolific manufacturers of the late 1800's - early 1900's. No collector value, and dubious shooter value if it is safe to shoot at all. That should be determined by a competent gunsmith. 2000 if in mint condition If less than mint condition, figure about $200 if it is complete and functional, $25-50 if broken or rusty. These were made in Belgium for H&D Folsum Sporting Goods by Joseph Cap or F. Dumoulin & Co around 1900.

Iver Johnson made a bunch of utility grade single shotguns. Bill Goforth is undoubtedly the foremost expert on H&R and Iver Johnson products and has researched those brands extensively. It was made sometime between 1920 and 1942.

The Rau Wildcat was similar to the Garcia Bronco or Bauer Rabbit. 1970's production, low-low cost rifle. I am so glad to find this rau is my last name my great great and a few more greats made these guns.. p.s. princes rau... p.s. i don't know anything about these guns i do have a few

Not enough information to answer that question. Model 94's made before 1964 are collectable, Model 94's made before World War II are more collectable, and Model 94's with special order features are even more collectable. That's probably a serial number. Your gun is probably a Stevens 520 shotgun, but without further information from you or digital pictures that is simply an educated guess. If so, it is pre-WW2, and they retail for $150-$200. sales@countrygunsmith.net

Shotguns marked 'T BARKER' were sold by various hardware store and catalog stores in c.1880-1910 (or so). They were generally imported from Belgium and distributed by the H&D Folsom Co. Look for the telltale Belgian proofmark underneath the barrels and on the water table (flat part of the frame where the barrels meet the frame). The proofmark is the letter 'E' over 'LG' in an oval or variant thereof. These shotguns were designed to be utility shotguns and were low priced when they were new. Nothing has changed today, and their value is strictly whatever somebody will pay to have something hanging on the wall. Under no circumstances should a T BARKER shotgun be fired. The barrel construction is almost certainly a twisted-wire construction and the pressure curve of modern shells (even "low-brass") can certainly cause the barrels to come apart. We see them listed at auction constantly with price tags from $200-$300, but they never sell. Realistically, that's about $100 high. There are some nutballs out there like me who collect hardware store guns, though... == ==
