HSB and Co was Hibbard, Spencer, Bartlett and Company, a large Chicago hardware wholesale/retail operation. Rev-O-Noc is "Conover" in reverse and was a trade name sold by the Conover Hardware chain of Kansas City.

I have a sears Ted Williams twelve gauge semi-automatic shotgun and it came with a barrel to fire slugs.

I bought it's brother the model 120 pump in 1986 and never saw another new one for sale. I was told they were only made at the end of 1985 and the beginning of 1986 and there was only 1500 made. They were a cheaper varient of the model 1200 with a hardwood stock. There were plenty sold in the gun stores considering that the reason they were made were to target sales with the military and police departments. In fact the one I bought the store owner told me he had ordered fifty for the local police and only had them pick up forty. He gave me a much better price than the 1300's that were selling for $300 at the time. I got a 28 inch vent ribbed barrel and a slug barrel that was 22 inches with rifled sightsand five different chokes a case allout the door for $219.95 which was dirt cheap.

I just bought an O/U 16ga. Ranger that is in pretty rough shape but shoots great for $50 in Jan of '08. Local gun show, guy was asking $75. As far as I can tell it was made in the mid20's to late 30's.

The Perfection was manufactured by Crescent Fire Arms Co for H&G Lipscomb & Co, c. 1893 to 1930. Value will be determined by how well it looks over the fireplace, normally $150-$250.

The letter on the serial number usually indicates the date it was made. The letter "S" on your serial number indicates that it was made on 1965.

There was one at an on-line auction but it was a 12ga. It went for $160. It was Aumann's auction or something like that.

Normal price for a store-brand 12 gauge pump is $90-$150, but if it is really in 100% new condition it might bring a bit more.

This gun was probably made c. 1880-1900, possibly as late as 1914.

.410 GA 101.7s are listed at 30% more valuable than 12 GA models. That should put it at around $250 or so. Its value is as a shooter, not a collectible, unless there is sentimental value. -- I'd Buy A Dozen of Em -- These Savage/Stevens .410 doubles, if in good shape, will reliably bring $350-$400. Gun values are as much regional as any other sports related item. As gun prices climb the old favorites are coming around again. Your gun is not a "collectible" rather it is the type of gun that brings back a lot of memories. Any 410 gauge double in firing condition will bring 2 to 300 at most gun shows in the northern and midwest regions. Essex was a trade name for a company named Crescent -Davis firearms and produced the Essex brand for Belknap Hardware in Louisville Ky. They made guns up to 1930..

'American Gun Co' was a house brand of the H&D Folsom Co, a major firearm distributor of the late 1800's through the early 20th century. The guns were made by Crescent Firearms, which H&D Folsom bought c.1922. 'American Gun Co of New York' was a house-brand of Crescent before the Folsom takeover and the 'of New York' was dropped afterwards. The whole nine yards was eventually taken over by Savage. The 1911SL (self-loading) was an interesting project in how to fail. Winchester up to about 1902 had been enjoying a rather profitable arrangement with John Browning to produce guns of his design. When Browning approached Winchester with the prototype of his repeating shotgun (now known as the Auto-5), Winchester.... passed. Browning packed the prototype over to Belgium and FN jumped on the opportunity. Winchester was left sucking wind, and since Winchester's own lawyers had helped write the patents they were stuck having to design around Browning. Winchester had a firearm design guru of their own, TC Johnson (think Model 12, Model 63, etc) and he grunted out the Model 1911SL along the same lines as the Model 1907 rifle. The 1911 was absolutely plagued with problems from the start. There is a system of buffers used to slow bolt travel and over time with oil and solvents these buffers break down and the subsequent vicious recoil will split the laminated birch stocks. Model 1911SL guns are typically found in very well-used condition, often with split stocks. In that condition, they rarely bring $200. However, in excellent condition (rare) they are collectable and can bring several hundred dollars more. Knows as the 'Crass Model' after designer Frederick Crass. The Crass Model was only made from 1888 to 1901. Yours would be c.1895. Need to know which grade. Remove the barrel set and look on the water table. These guns were marked with the gauge and the grade from 1 to 7 (and 1P). Depending on grade and condition, $200 to $1000. sales@countrygunsmith.net
