Do world cup skiers use the same skis as you buy?
Not unless you are a ski racer yourself, and were lucky enough to get top of the line equipment. World Cup skiers get the best race skis that their factory makes. They have many different pairs of the same type (downhill skis, for example) that they will test to see which are the fastest. Race skis are highly specialized and differ greatly from demo skis or skis that the public usually buys. You can see this reflected in the price. Race skis typically run $800-$1000 for the skis, not including bindings.
Where is the forward pressure indicator on the Look RS99 ski binding heal?
It is the notch part of the line at the bottom behind the heal baseplate. Adjust the side 'stems' such you just see the notch when the shoes are in the binding. This is guideline only, better to leave it to a pro.

Im 6' 1 how long do my ski poles need to be?
it depends what kind of skiing you are doing. For example, you might want to go a little shorter if you are going to be park skiing. 50 inches is a good size for you
1. Get some pool noodles, the ones with holes through them. Find some that aren't too thick or but you dont want skinny thin ones either If the hole in the middle is bigger that will help too.
These worked for me... you have to buy 6, but you can make more if they get old or have different shoe sizes....
http://www.skywalkerholdings.com/product/5001.html
2. Get some old shoes, vans worked for me, you dont want them too wide.
3. Find the middle of the noodle and the middle of your shoe mark the noodle where your shoe starts and ends on the noodle and cut a slit between the 2 points.
4. If you cant fit your shoe in yet then cut a little bit more on each side until you shoe can fit in with the noodle wrapping up around your shoe (its doesn't fully enclose your shoes but should just wrap around them.
5. Next put your foot in and ducktape snugly, not so tight so you can get your foot out, but so that it will stay on when jumping. you wil also want to tape in front and behind your shoe to prevent taring.
(Tip: when you tape your heels down, take it off and take out the foot bed, then tape wrapping it into the shoe a few times then put the footbed back in and it will be nice and comfy.)
You should be good to go if you really want you can add more duck tape where necessary for ripping or strength these are great for grabs and simple stuff. I have tried a lot of different things, wood just breaks, real skis with duck tape are too heavy, cardboard just bends and gets floppy after 1 trick. these should last a good amount of time and are lightweight You also cant hurt yourself if you fall on them.

What does it mean when someone wears his sunglasses at night?
There are several reasons why some would wear sunglasses at night or indoors: 1) to look cool and nonchalant; 2) To hide the emotions in your eyes; 3) to intimidate; 4) in some rare cases, for health reasons; 5) to hide from paparazzi; 6) or, and this is the pessimist in me, to hide an ugly mug.
Is the height of the skis the same as the rider?
It depends, if you are a real beginner the skis should be about the height chin to lips but if you are a very very very good racer it can be a few cenimeters taller than you. For the average person skis should be between your nose and eyes.

Perhaps it is also worth noting that a snowboarding competition has been held in New York City itself. On Feb. 8, 2007, the Union Square Street Sessions rail jam was held on a 90-foot snow ramp in Manhattan's Union Square.
