Simple. Just don't scratch. I went to a yard sale the other day and I was standing in tall grass. When I left the grass I felt a sudden extreme itchiness all the way down my left leg. I kept scratching it to see why it was itchy and it just kept getting worse and worse. Finally I just said the heck with it. So I just stopped scratching all together. Yes, it did itch like crazy but only for 20 minutes maybe 1/2 hour then it stopped. Who knows though they might wake me in the night itching but again you can't scratch. It can be hard not to scratch sometimes but there's really no point in scratching. You're itching like crazy in one spot or area. You can either not do anything and suffer for a few minutes or you can scratch where the itch will never go away and you might bleed. You decide.

Based on personal experience, swelling on the forehead will go down after a day or two, but then the area around the eyes will swell as this is where the blood drains to. After about 4 days, the swelling will fade away.

Acne is an ugly thing, but it does not make the person having acne ugly. I mean, acne is something that's disturbing and annoying to deal with, especially in its severe forms, but it does not make the person suffering from it less than others.

Ouch! Sounds awful! Let's see what we can do... Nettles sting by two processes: hair-thin filiments like spines penetrate the skin and stay there, which is a HUGE irritant. Additionally, this spines inject formic acid and a variety of amines -- a not uncommon chemical defense in the biological world (so the vinegar was a bad idea). Get a magnifying glass and see if you can find any of the super-tiny spines in the affected area. If you still can, you may be able to remove them with masking tape. Lay the tape on the area, smooth it down a liitle, and see if you can pull some of the spines up. If the remaining spines are already embedded, this trick won't work. Get some diphenhydramine (Benadryl -- sells over the counter) in pill form and take according to the directions on the box. Next, mix some baking soda (3Tbsp per pinr should do) -- sodium bicarbonate -- into a bowl with water. Mix until the sodium bicarb dissolves and add ice. Try soaking your hand in that, on and off, benig careful not to freeze the hand. If you don't show improvement in 1 hour maximum, if the rash increases, and especially if you have trouble breathing, it's off the the ER for you. Otherwise, keep the hand clean over the next few days and repeat this treatment as often as necessary, being careful not to exceed max dosage of the diphenhydramine as described on the box. Yes, I have used hydrocortisone cream along with Cetaphil moisturizing cream, and water, in a 30/30/40 mix. The object of the water addition, was to thin the viscosity of the 50/50 mix enough to enable the application of the mix to the scalp through using a Sweet & Low liquid, bottle with a 3 & 1 Oil, red micro tube extension. This applier and mix eliminated a scalp dandruff condition in less than a month, with an initial treatment and repeal maybe, every third day, then stretch it slowly an additional day until you can see the scalps healthy pink skin color. The initial condition of the scalp was very WHITE and thick with discarded scalp cells and much dandruff. The function of the Hydrocortisone was to eliminate itching and the Cetaphil cream worked its wonder transforming the white scaly scalp into a vibrant pink scalp in less than a month. Possibly the action was reversed, but I find Cetaphil products to work wonders with skin, including scalp.
