And if you have a new product, there is no guarantee that it will be in demand. Maybe there are very few people who are concerned about repelling pigeons. So there are risks in either case. In addition, there are lots of regulations from all 3 levels of government, which include tax laws, employment laws, zoning regulations, etc., to make your life more complicated. Running any kind of business tends to be expensive and you have no guarantee of making a profit.
