What happens when you suddenly stop a nicotine addiction?

Answer: As the body tries to adjust to the lack of a stimulant substance (including alcohol), within anywhere from six to seventy-two hours, it begins to exhibit several nasty symptoms. The severity of them can be affected by the degree of addiction and the type of abused substance. General reactions can include, but are not limited to, the following: * restlessness * muscle pain * bone pain * insomnia * diarrhea * vomiting * cold flashes * goose bumps * involuntary leg movements * watery eyes * runny nose * loss of appetite * irritability * panic * nausea * chills * sweating or rapid pulse Each drug can carry with it specific symptoms, but the ones listed above are pretty universal. Below are some examples of how symptoms can vary: Withdrawal from alcohol can also cause: * Sweating or Rapid Pulse * Increased Hand Tremor * Physical Agitation * Anxiety * Transient Visual, Tactile or Auditory Hallucinations or * Illusions * Grand Mal Seizures Cocaine withdrawal can cause these symptoms as well as: * agitation * depression * intense craving for the drug * extreme fatigue * anxiety * angry outbursts * lack of motivation * irritability * muscle pain * disturbed sleep Withdrawal should include a tapering off, so the body and brain can adjust to less and less of the drug. This can lessen the severity of the withdrawal symptoms. According to addictionwithdrawal.com, "Drug withdrawal should take place at an inpatient drug rehabilitation center. There the individual will be removed from the immediate access to drugs or alcohol. Drug withdrawal done at an inpatient drug rehab also provides the safety of medical supervision by trained professionals who are better able to monitor the Drug withdrawal process." What are the benefits of quitting smoking?

I smoked for about 3 years and quit about 1 year ago. Just walking around I notice that I no longer have to stop and catch my breath, and have an easier time jogging and walking up stairs. Also my mind feels much clearer and my reaction time seems to have sped up. I suggest quitting smoking immediately; you will feel much better after the withdrawal symptoms subside. Also: You will not have such cold feet all the time. You will not be coughing all the time. You will not smell bad to non-smokers (Or you may, if you do not wash, but you will not smell of smoke!) Smoking also reduces the senses of taste and smell.

Why should smoking not be banned?

There is much debate about this. Whilst those intending to continue smoking argue that banning smoking does infringe on their right to smoke. The issue now is whether advertisement should be banned. The tobacco companies claim that cigarette advertisement just influence smokers to change brands but do not encourage non smokers to smoke. Anti- smoking lobbyists argue that if cigarette advertisements do not encourage non smokers to smoke, then why are tobacco companies spending so much each year on advertisements. Consider: The USA attempted to ban alcohol at the beginning of the 20Th century. All this achieved was to drive the alcohol business underground and into the hands of criminals (the Mafia). Cocaine, heroin, cannabis, (to mention a few) are currently banned in most countries, but their use continues. Current opinion is that cocaine use in the UK is at its highest since records began, and yet is has been "banned" for decades. (since about 1909?)

How do you use tobacco free snuff?

You stick it in your front lip or in the sides of your mouth and pretty much suck the flavor out of it.

Snuff users in the third world often rub the snuff into the gums to give a quick fix, but overuse can damage gums and cause them to recede, eventually leading to tooth loss. If you want to use snuff, it's probably not a good idea to rub it into your gums.

Is hooka tobacco?

Answer (1): There are three types of hookah tobacco. First is the unwashed tobacco which has 0.5% nicotine, second is the washed tobacco which has 0.05% and there's a herbal hookah tobacco which contains no nicotine.

Answer (2): A hookah is not a substance, but an Asian waterpipe in which the smoke from, say, tobacco is drawn through water to cool and purify it. Although the cooling is effective, the filtration is not, and many of the harmful constituents of smoke remain to be inhaled.

Since hookah-smoking sessions are social event lasting for thirty minutes or more, the hookah smoker will inhale much more nicotine than if he had smoked a single cigarette.

What are the side effects of smoking black tar heroin?

Black tar can contain a variable percentage of heroin, but despite the name, what makes Black Tar specific as a type is not actually its heroin (diacetylmorphine) content, but rather the greater mixture of lesser acetylated morphine derivatives-predominantly 6-MAM (6-monoacetylmorphine) and 3-MAM (3-monoacetylmorphine). This is caused by the use of the antiquated Wright-Beckett process (c. 1874), which produces a relatively crude and unrefined opiate product but does not require the complex lab equipment, high-purity acetylating chemicals or lengthy reflux steps necessary to produce pure heroin, making it attractive to clandestine drug producers.
