What time is sunset on March 22 in Tomah WI?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

The time of sunrise and sunset is very dependent on the precise location and the date in question. Please re-post your question with the date and the city name or ZIP code. If you add the WikiAnswers category "Sunset Times", I'll see it.

You can calculate the time of sunrise and sunset easily by visiting the United States Naval Observatory web site's Sunrise & Sunset calculator. You will need the date, city and state for US locations, or the date, latitude, longitude and time zone for any other locations in the world.

The site is

You can also calculate the times of sunrise and sunset for one year at a given location at the site:

What is the world record snowfall at a US ski resort in twenty four hours?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

I believe it was the Bridger Bowl Ski Resort in the Bridger Mountains, which recorded 72 inches in 24 hours. I skied it, and we were told that it was a record. I found this "site", if you can call it that http://www.avalanche.org/~issw2004/issw_previous/2004/proceedings/pdffiles/papers/046.pdf It isn't much, but it does concur. Note: the record was a world record, not a U.S. record. The exact number of 72 inches I only know because I was there. On our first ride up the lift, at the top, a ski-patrol, who had just received notice of the measurement, shouted to the people riding up the lift that it was 72 inches. 6 feet exactly.

Hail as in hail stones.

Water condenses out of the air as water. It is then subject to cooling, and becomes a piece of ice ( hail).

Snow is different in so far, when water condenses out from the air, it condenses directly to ice crystals. These crystals build up to be come snowflakes.
