The rest of the world buys the PS3 and the USA buys more Xbox 360s than PS3s. The Xbox 360 had a year more time to sell and Sony is catching up in sales because people can tell it offers more than just a game player, There prices are dropping below Xbox 360 for a better console with the 320 GB Undefeated 3 bundle going for $299.99 and Xbox 360 wants $399.99 for the MW3 bundle. Xbox Live is not better than Playstation Plus which costs the same. If the exclusion games are what you want to play then it does not matter which console is better you will have to get that console or both. If your friends have a certain console you will also have to get that console to play them or get both.
Don't listen to that, it is false. Actually, Sony makes way more than blu-ray. Microsoft made the operating system, sony makes computers for it, therefore that is false too. Sony makes phones, which are reliable. They have PlayStation 3, which is on it's rise now that more games are being made for it. And Microsoft's gaming console, Xbox 360, really only has games to offer. Yes, they have movies too but PSN has alot more movies, tv shows, and Games (this includes demos) than xbox live does. i think that it is impossible to choose the better of the 2 and that both the above answers are false i dont think the person whom wrote the second answer is unfamilar with microsoft and the first unfamilar with sony. i have both but play my xbox alot more because the ps3 lacks the games i like and seems to revolve around the car racing games more than my area. thats not to say xbox is better ps3 has blueray bigger disk space is good BUT you cannot fix them with a normal dvd resurfacer if they get damaged. xbox live is evolving alot more to were as psn is staying around the same area or not moving as fast as the xbox. the ps3 does have more power graphicaly thats a no brainer. also regardless of what ps players say CROSS GAME CHAT IS GOOD! the xbox is getting just as many games as the ps i dont know why the second answer had to state the ps3 has a growing amount of games. The Sony corporation is responsible for more than just the PS3 and they are very respected for there products. Microsoft computer products do have short comings and the Xbox 360 now cost more to use than a PS3. For online Playstation Plus will give free games and a discount on others and costs the same as Xbox Live. The PS4 will be released soon and Xbox will need a new model to compete. The thing about Microsoft is they dump a 4 GB Xbox 360 on the market knowing that THE HDD IS JUST TOO SMALL. You then have invested in Xbox 360 games and accessories before you learn that the system is not right. PS3 offers a 500GB harddrive and will fill it with the free games given to Playstation Plus members. Once you have seem how much nicer and space savingitis to play the games from downloads instead of getting game discs you will never go back. I once though downloads were dumb because you had nothing to resell and now I have learned that for the smallamountyou get reselling the old games you are better off not filling your TV area wit all the Game discs.
