South Carolina does not allow bonfires on public beaches. That being said, Myrtle Beach hosts an event every year called Bonfire at the Vineyard, but the bonfire is carefully controlled. You should be able to have bonfires on private beaches, as long as you have permission from the beach's owner and the coast guard.
