The above was forced into terse format. The spider is question is simply lovely, and the bite nasty. It resembles widows in shiny and hairless chitin, and the body is extremely small - and not visible unless you crush it, something done frequently at times. The only difference between this spider and the widows is that extremely small body. The bite in reference was near the lower lip, and within minutes it produced a numb sensation in lower jaw - very much like that after a dental visit when some sort of Novocain-etc. had been administered. Swelling was minimal, and within a day. At that point, abdominal cramps that traveled - work one out, another appeared on the other side. It matches no spiders - either in body-size or color - I have seen in some rather long web-searches for image. It is NOT a hobo or brown recluse - body size. These have been noted in the Seattle and Tacoma areas, so it may be an exotic cargo-traveler.

You're most likely looking at a silverfish or a firebrat.

You can kill them with strategically placed pheromone traps, putting pesticide into wall voids via holes behind your light switches. Putting insecticides or pesticides near cracks, at the bottom of bathroom walls, and the like works good as well.

From my understanding, most insect's environment and habitat do not logically require the insect to be large in scale. Judging on what insects eat and the size of their meal, the insects do not need to become larger to adapt or survive in their natural habitat.

The violin spider (or Brown Recluse, Loxosceles Reclusa, or Fiddleback spider) mentioned above is NOT deadly. It is difficult for doctors to diagnose spider bites, and the bite of this particular spider looks very similar to other serious conditions, so a lot of pictures/stories you see/hear about this spider being deadly are false. Though not deadly, this spider does cause very serious wounds and should be avoided. It is not aggressive.
