How do you get passed the giant squid in Endless Ocean 2?
Well you can either go through the Piranha's by feeding them every so often whilst proceeding through, or, you can simply swim around them on the far right, which is easier and is what I personally find the best option.
Inside the squid is a "bone", that is clear and has a plastic feel. It's shape is similar to a quill, and so, if someone says a squid quill, this is most likely what they are referring to.
How long is an octopus gestation?
An octopi's gestation period is about 7 months. You can get a more exact answer if there is a certain species of octopus you are looking for.
What color is the ink of a octopus's?
yeshhh or nooo go find out by getting inkk by a starfishh (LOL) IDK
--------
actually several species deficate a type of dark matter that can render an predator blind. The Asian blue starfish can deficate up to twice its own body weight in dark mattter when required to do so.
Fish have to have scales and fins. Squid is most definitely NOT kosher.
You bet! It is a common cuisine in Mediterranean dishes and is called calamari. It is often deep fried. Octopus salad is an oriental delicacy. It is also served as sushi.
Actually, calamari is squid, but octopus is still enjoyed in many parts of the world.
What is the lifespan of an octopus?
Octopuses have a relatively short life expectancy, and some species live for as little as six months. Larger species, such as the North Pacific Giant Octopus, may live for up to five years under suitable circumstances. However, reproduction is a cause of death: males can only live for a few months after mating, and females die shortly after their eggs hatch. They neglect to eat during the (roughly) one month period spent taking care of their unhatched eggs, but they don't die of starvation. Endocrine secretions from the two optic glands are the cause of genetically programmed death (and if these glands are surgically removed, the octopus may live many months beyond reproduction, until she finally starves).
yes, they are surrounded by cartilage, and makes them endoskeleton
squid have ink sacs that irritate the predators' eyes so that they can swim away
Yes. Indeed they do. Some grow to the size of golf balls. And in some rare cases they grow to the size if tennis rackets. Although squids are hard to find, they have been vastly studied and many people are perplexed to find the fact that sqids actualy have large noses and live deep in he deps of the atlantic.
They don't LOOK that different, but one difference is that the female has an egg sack.
What are the difference between cuttlefish and octopus?
I think the difference is that cuttlefish has less legs than an octopus. =) =ㅇ =D!
An octopus also has no shell, while cuttlefish have an internal shell
Who are the relatives of a octopus?
Squids are invertebrates (do not have a backbone) and are in fact molluscs, so they are related to slugs and snails! There are several group s within the phylum Mollusca. The main ones are: * Bivalves (clams, oysters, scallops, mussels) which have a shell made of two halves * Gastropods (sea snails with [abalone, limpet, conch] or without [seahares, sea slugs] shells; land snails and slugs; freshwater snails) * Cephalopods (squid, octopus, nautilus, cuttlefish) The cephalopods are the most advanced molluscs and are the most intelligent invertebrates. They are characterised by the possesion of arms or tentacles. For more information see: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cephalopod http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mollusk http://www.manandmollusc.net/
Squids don't have pens. They squirt ink from a bodily orifice in order to deter predators.
actually, inside the mantle is the pen of the squid, a hard protrusion which is all that remains of the squid's shelled ancestors. (i got this from chacha to do my bio hw)
What do squid do in the oceans?
Squid can be found in places with salt water. California, Hawaii, and the Gulf of Mexico are all locations where squid can be found living.
They do travel in water but they do not 'swim' as such.
Contrary to popular belief, they do not have eight legs, but two. They use these legs are used to pull themselves around on the sea floor and use the others for catching food, or for propulsion on the rare occasion that they do see fit to swim, for example away from a predator.
idk the difference between an octopus and a squid but like a year or so ago they found a 1,000 pound squid that was maybe 50 feet or something if not bigger
Do cuttlefish have green blood and three hearts?
Cuttlefish have three hearts <3 like octopi and Squids; nautiluses have...well, IDK. I'll get back 2 you on that 1. just keep checking that Q, don't worry I'll find an answer =O hehehe...
Is the vampire squid an omnivore?
All deep sea animals are carnivores because there`s no plants down there. so the vampire squid is not an omnivore.
Colossal squids have an ink sac, so they have ink. However, not much is known about the ink.
For further information, check out New Zealand's TePapa Museum site about the colossal squid: http://squid.tepapa.govt.nz/anatomy/article/colossal-squid-the-inside-story
Quote from the site: "All squid have a sac of ink inside the mantle. The ink is a dark liquid and is expelled through the funnel. If the squid meets a predator, it shoots out a cloud of ink, which hides the squid so it can escape. No one has ever seen a colossal squid producing ink so we can't be sure what the ink looks like or how the squid uses it. As there is no light down at 1,000 metres in the ocean, dark ink would be useless! It is possible that the colossal squid has luminescent ink."
Squid eat fish. They are carnivores. They catch the fish with one of their long arms and pull it to their mouth. Squid have a hard beak like a parrot's.
Difference between gastropods cephalopods and bivalves?
gastropods include species like snails and slugs
chephalopods include octopus and squid
Bivalves are organisms like clams, mussles and oysters
What is the size of the octopus?
There are many different species of octopus -
the smallest is the Octopus Wolfi, which is found in the Indo-Pacific Ocean. It is 1.5 centimeters in length.
The largest is the Pacific Giant Octopus which can weigh 150 pounds and stretch 30 feet across in only two years
