Can Strattera and chantix be taken together?
I have been taking effexor 75mg for 6 years. I also smoke and drink too much. I asked my doctor 12 months ago if I could take chantix she said no because of my depression in the past. 3 months ago I went back to the doctor and said I want to take chantix as I really hate smoking and need to change my life. She gave them to me but said to watch my mood.
Well I had NO side effects at all, only a little more tired but that is it! I took chantix one hour after taking my effexor in the morning.
I had my last smoke on day 5 taking chantix and have never had a urge, I can also now enjoy a wine without a disgusting cigarette. My drinking has cut down dramatically as I always enjoyed both together. I didn't need to take chantix for 12 weeks only 4 weeks. It really is a miracle tablet. I am so happy my life is back !! Good luck to all
Can you snort diazpam to get better results?
Due to the binders in the pill, you will likely not have better results doing this.
Strattera side effect is hot flash warm feeling inside sweating like a cold?
I have had terrible problems with overheating on strattera, to the point that I can be dripping with sweat after a 2 block walk. And I literally mean "dripping", from the sides of my face onto my clothes, my forehead into my eyes, etc. My clothes get soaked. I am on a very low dose but am thinking of stopping it b/c I cannot tolerate this sweating.
Are there any major side effects when taking Strattera 60 mg and Wellbutrin 200mg both once daily?
Your Pharmcist could answer that question best, but I have learned that neither drug should be taken with a drug class called a MAO inhibitor ( trade names Nardil and Parnate ). These are also anti-depressants. Hope this helps.
What are the effects of Strattera prescribed with Lithium?
For common drug interactions, visit: http://www.drugdigest.org/DD/Interaction/ChooseDrugs/1,4109,,00.html There, you can "plug in" different drugs and find out if there are any known interactions. You really need to ask a pharmacist to be sure. Don't gamble with drugs, drug combinations or your health. Call your local drug store. They'll be glad to assist. ~ T
Are there senior users on 40 mgs who experience nausea and if so have they found a remedy?
I had the nausea for awhile,I was told to try taking 20 mgs morning & 20 mgs at night, This stopped the nausea for me! Hope this helps
The nausea caused by Strattera can be eased by taking it with food AND milk (even though the leaflet says it is not necessary). Wait about 10 minutes after eating before taking the medication. In my case, the nausea passed by the third week.
If your son is doing great on Ritalin SR should he switch to Strattera if a new doctor wants him to?
my son was switched to straterra for its lesser effect on apetite suppression. within weeks he was moody and irritable. severe mood swings made us switch back to his adderal xr and i now live with the fact that he will eat early in the morning and late at night. as long as he's getting his calories in i will never switch to another medication. i also don't medicate him over weekends and school vacations my advice to you and your new doctor is not to switch especially if your son is doing well. if it's not broken, why fix it?
Has the use of Straterra for bipolar disorder been investigated?
My brother has a pretty severe case of bipolar, he started taking strattera and it really didn't have bad effects on him, when he started taking Prozac with it, he had an emotional break down and attempted to stab himself with a pretty thick knife and the blade broke on his chest, he's now in a mental hospital for 3 months I recommend not taking strattera with a bipolar person or depressed person unless it's monitered because my brother isn't the only person I know of who had terrible effects.
From what I've read about withdrawal symptoms it sounds like it builds up in your system like anti-depressants.
Can Strattera be mixed in juice for people who have trouble with pills or capsules?
YUCK!!!
I accidently "belched" a capsule up a few minutes after taking it, and it broke in my mouth. The taste was so awful it made me physically sick!
I can't imagine what you'd mix it with to mask or hide that nasty taste!
If Strattera makes you tired and groggy will the effect wear off after taking it for a while?
hey patricia,my 4yr. old grandson takes strattera.he started on a low dose, then the next higher dose.he usually take it around 7am.,goes to headstart, comes home around 3 or 4p.m. i have noticed that it starts to wear off around 5 or 6p.he's buck wild by then.he is also very tired and sleepy too.so,we try to let him get all of his frustration out, give him a warm bath, get sleepers on,hopefully he will eat something, whatever he wants.then prepare him for bed no later than 8p.hope he can get at least 9 or 10 hrs. of sleep.good luck.
According to my doctor, Strattera can make you drowsy about 8-9 hours after taking it and that it only lasts a little while. So he recommended that if it happens, to switch to taking it in the evenings so that you are sleeping when you get drowsy. He has 300+ patients out of his ~450 patients taking Strattera and he said the ones taking it in the evening after dinner don't report it reducing its effectiveness. It can also help those who have stomach upset, since most people eat a bigger dinner than do breakfast.
How safe is using Strattera to cope with adult ADD?
I feel the benefits outweight the risk's one very good thing about the drug is that it is not a controlled stimulant like Ritalin or adderal, like any psychiatric medications there are a slew of side effect's but there is only one way to find out whether you will be effected by any of these my suggestion give the medication a try for a minumum of a month have loved one's or wife ect pay attention and see if it effects you in a negative or positive manner good luck try not reading into thing's as much they will terrify you
