^ actually this persons answer is wrong. I play softball in 70 degrees.. and i tan... alot. Its just the matter of exposed skin and uv rays. Most people do not have their skin fully exposed in 60-70 degree weather. But it is possible to tan... just rays and exposed skin. (:

I have this as well!!! Apparently its due to excessive use of sunbeds or natural sun without enough protection. I found that after not being exposed to strong sun or sunbeds it cleared up and my skin looked normal again, though after holidays this year its back. So I therefore blame it on the sun!! My suggestion then would be trying a tanning salon and using their tanning beds. Another idea would be to try the spray on tan but that seems so fake. Your best bet would be to ask the tanning salon professionals.

The intense bulbs from the tanning bed may lighten your highlights, not much but if you keep going the heat and rays from the bulbs will enhance them.

Obsidian by Designer Skin, it has 30 bronzers in it, it gets you dark FAST. Also has ingredients to help keep your tan for longer. The bronzers do not turn you orange. I love this lotion.

It could appear so at first, but over time the skin damage it causes makes the skin more uneven. Alternatives to tanning are false tanning or trying some of that jerggins stuff or just being happy with your skin tone. If you do decide to tan, use sunscreen and don't go to tanning salons as they are even more damaging to skin than the sun itself because they concentrate straight UV rays to the skin.

It may be that you would benefit from a very minor amount of tanning, so that you still have the pale skin that you like, but it isn't quite so severely pale. This can be done by getting very small amounts of exposure to sunlight over a long period of time, let us say, five minutes a day. If even that causes a burn, cut back to three minutes a day.
