...........for both 1.6L and 1.8L engine
The Sidekick 1.6 Liter 16 Valve conversion is by far the most popular.
The 1.8 conversion could be done but they only used that engine for a couple of years. It is not a popular engine.
I have the 1.6 conversion is a 1986 Suzuki Samurai.
The major components are:
Transmission adapter to connect to the Samurai transmission.
Engine mounts from Sidekick
Oil Pan and Oil Pick-up needs to be cut down unless the Samurai is raised to allow room for front axle.
Computer and wiring from Sidekick must be installed into the Samurai.
All of the engine controls, air filter, MAF, high pressure fuel pump.
There is a speedometer conversion as well. It adds a magnetic (reed) relay to the speedometer and lets the computer know when the car is moving.
-EVERYTHING- moves over from the donor vehicle including (most times) the third member gears because they are lower than a Samurai.
Samurai=3.73
Sidekick (auto)=4.62
Sidekick (Man)= 5.12
All of these items can be purchased separately from several Suzuki aftermarket suppliers on the web.
you gorget to say, what transmission you have. in gear dont say much. sorry?
Bad transmission? Bad clutch?

if in top gear.
if auto in overdrive.
The factory service manual for 1996 Sidekick/Tracker defines it as:
Total Toe................0.16 to 0.48 Degrees
This is almsot the same but trickier.
Get a regular wooden toothpick.
Break it in half where one end is long, thin, and pointy.
Gently insert it in the crevice around the trackball and move it around the ball like a hook. This will pull all of that stuff out or at least a chunk of it. That's what I did. I was pretty excited too, i got A LOT out. Try it and be gentle, you don't want the toothpick breaking.
Maybe you can come up with your own variation too, like something just as thin and not as breakable like a toothpick.
I hope you guys try this, it really helps a lot.

is this a question.?
do you want to buy one.
find one on car.
find one in car.
do you what to test it.
did i prime your pump.... hahahahaha
There are four ways to find a ratio.
1 A dealer can normally tell from the vin number.
2 There are normally tags or labels on the axle that have part number, gear ratio, and fluid requirement
info.
3 You can count how many times you have to turn the driveshaft to get one complete turn of the tires.
4 You can count the number of teeth on the ring gear and divide by number of teeth on the pinion gear.
As I recall:
4.62 Automatic Transmission.
5.12 Manual Transmission (5 Speed)
The Flasher is located: Front seating area, driver side, driver side of steering column, behind lower dash panel, mounted on rear of fuse block
Application:
Hazard flasher
The transmission is completely different in these two. The Sidekick has an integral transfer case, the Samurai is divorced (separate) transfer case.
Although anything may be possible I have never seen this conversion and it will not 'Bolt' on.
copy this link into your addressbar and fill in your year, make and model to find out what speakers will fit in your vehicle.

It is in the computer. Can't remove that!
Check the outlet from the gas tank, the fuel line, and the carburetor for obstructions.
