one is Ordinary Password & 2nd one is Vault Password

Ordinary Password braking is take 5Min

but Vault Password is take the time 2days

Q:-How to Know ordinary or Vault Password

A:- Open Tally -> Company Info -> Select Company

in the Company List if your company name is visible like (ABC & CO) then it is ordinary Password

or

in Select company list your company name is visible Like (********) then it is Vault Password.

For copying masters from one company to another company select the two companies from main menu of tally i.e Gateway of Tally..

Open the company from where you want to copy the master then go to GWT>>Accounts info>>Ledgers>alter>select the particular ledger,then press F3 and select the second company,then accept the screen by ctrl+A.

If you are using tally erp 9 then

First open company (for security enable use admin user name and password)

At gateway of tally menu press key combination ctrl+f3 or right side button comp info

select menu item alter then select company and press key combination alt+D and accept it.

Otherwise you have to go to the data folder and delete to folder containing company id (containing only five digits)

You cannot get it back the company deleted once you delete it within tally.

It's possible in 2 ways:

1. Just open your company data in Tally 9.0, and you will see a message that says "Rewrite Version?".

Then, press the "Y" or "Enter" button.

Your data will then be transferred from 7.2 to 9.0.

2: Just open Tally 9.0 and press Alt+Clt+R (It's an option for rewriting the company).

Then, locate your 7.2 data destination and press "Enter".

The correct way of transfering data from 7.2 to ERP9.0 is using the Tally Data Migration Tool using which you can transfer data from 7.2 to Tally 9 this tool is available in your Tally installation directory called as TallyDataMigration.exe just take backup from 7.2 & then restore it using the tool & then ask the tool to migrate the data all your data would then start migrating from 7.2 to 9

company data can be split into sections by creating a duplicate company and opened whereby the date that the company been split will become the Financial year beginning of new company and its recommended date.

First you will choose the voucher you want to change and then double click it to open it. You can also press F2 as well to change it.
