Is green tea a type of dried tea or a real tea plant?

All tea is derived from the tea plant ~ the camellia sinensis. Green tea is untreated, meaning it is not oxidized, rolled or treated in other ways like smoking it over a fire.

When brewing green tea, keep in mind it requires a lower temperature of water (160-180* when air bubbles start to rise from the bottom on the pan or tea kettle) and a short brewing time. If you let your green tea steep too long or your water is too hot, it will turn out bitter.

The best thing to do is test different steeping times. Start out on the low end of time and progress to a longer time if you want a stronger tasting brew. (1-3 minutes)

What grade of tea is used in tea bags?

There is no general answer to this question; it varies hugely from tea to tea.

Most tea bags contain fannings or broken-leaf tea. Some (particularly low-end tea bags) contain dust. Broken-leaf tea consists of larger pieces than fannings, which in turn are larger particles than dust.

However, there are some tea bags, especially the higher-quality one often marketed as sachets or pyramid bags, which contain whole-leaf tea or large pieces of broken-leaf tea.

The grade of tea used is sometimes advertised on the container. For example, orange pekoe and pekoe are two grades of tea commonly used in some teabags. These grading systems are typically only used for black tea, not for green tea or oolongs.

Does the black tea disturb your sleep?

In my case it depends upon the number of tea cups which I drink in a day. I normally drink 5 cups of black Indian tea. I am drinking this number of tea cups for more than 25 years. (Since my childhood) My day is normal. If i drink 7 cups of black tea, (I mean two cups more than my normal routine it will shift my sleep ~ 3 hours later. ) I am more active in the night. If I normally sleep 12'O Clock at night, my sleep will come 3'O clock at night. And the sleep will be not so comfortable. Similarly if I drink less tea than my normal routine then I have again the same problem. If I drink 3 cups of black tea I again the same problem. I can not sleep at night. I feel very tired, unhappy, very uncomfortable & stresic. When I am not sleeping and i have drunk less tea in the day than my normal routine, I get up from the bed, make a tea and drink and again go to the bed, I shall sleep within 5 minutes. Because it will relax my body make me happy. Less tea disturb me more than access tea. It looks like certain amount of caffeine in my blood stream must be present to keep me happy and comfortable. Access amount of tea disturb my sleep. But less amount disturb my whole body. If I drink no tea in the day, I have headache. I am unhappy, uncomfortable and very sad. I have pain in my whole body. I can not work easily. Green tea or fruit tea do not help. The green tea or any kind of fruit tea has no effect on my body.

How many family size teabags for 2 quarts of tea?

Me personally, I use 2 family-sized (cold-brew) tea bags per 2 quarts water and 1 cup sugar. I put a slight amount of hot water in the pitcher first and then I steep the bags a few minutes because it speeds up the process and brings out the flavor a little more. After a few minutes i fill the rest of the pitcher w/ cold or room temp. water, 1 cup sugar, and stir... it's cold-brew so hot water isnt needed but it speeds up the process...
