1. Talk to the priest in the Temple of Mara, Riften before you can marry anyone.

2. Earn her favor by doing at least one of her miscellaneous quests.

3. Be wearing an Amulet of Mara (available from a quest chain from the temple of mara, or in a few dungeons) when you decide to "pop the question"

It doesn't 'go' anywhere, it is just deducted from your gold. When you buy things from vendors, gold does get added to their supply, but this doesn't happen for house purchases.

None of your companions can die if they are following you, but they can die if they aren't. An example would be if you are in combat and you tell her to part ways and she gets killed by the person or creature attacking you because she stopped following you. I used "she" because I am referring to Lydia, your bodyguard you get from Whiterun for being the Thane.

You cant,you must do the companions quest in order to become a werewolf. Its the only way,however there is a way to become an alpha werewolf,which instead of being black, you are white and feared by all other werewolves.

The only "safe" place to store anything is a house that you (your character) actually owns. Keeping things in any other location almost guarantees they won't be there when you come back for them.

I dont think you can. refine what you want with the help command. instead on "Steel armor" try "steal armor of resist".

Only way is on PC. Using console. If you are familiar with it, good. If not then press the ` key. The one below Esc and to the left of 1. Then type in

"coc darkbrotherhoodsanctuary" without quotes. It well teleport you into the hideout, completely bypassing the Black Door.

Notes

- Only possible on PC using console

- After you exit through the door you will have to say the pass phrase or use the cheat again to go back.

- I used this method to get the Unusual Gem inside on my Thieves Guild character.

If you read the book in the ritual chamber "The Midden Incident", you will learn that you need to find a set of rings to place on the black gauntlet. These rings can be found in the Arcaenum in a master locked chest, but if you also found the key in the midden, you don't need to pick the lock. Take these rings to the gauntlet and place them there, a daedric prince, Velhek Sain will appear. He will offer you a location of hidden treasures for his release.

After you save your game, go into Load then hover over that game save you just saved. There should be a few things in white text below the picture of the save. One of them says the time of how long you have played for so far.
