What does mageddon mean in Hebrew?
"mageddon" has no meaning in Hebrew.
Additional Answer:
You are probably referring to ' har megiddo' which means Mountain of Megiddo and is used once in the New Testament in the form of Armageddon. Megiddo is actually a 'tel' and not a mountain. It was a famous crossroads which saw many battles in its history. It will be the final 'staging' place of the enormous end-time Army of 200 million men in the Book of Revelation.
Why are people so fascinated by the end of the world?
People are fascinated by the end of the world because we all want to live another day, but the Bible (and their consciences) tells them the 'world' will come to an end, either by man's destruction or some higher power. When the Bible says that the 'world' will end, it is referring to wicked mankind and this wicket system of things, not the planet. Isaiah 45:18 says: "For this is what Jehovah has said, the Creator of the heavens, He the [true] God, the Former of the earth and the Maker of it, He the One who firmly established it, who did not create it simply for nothing, who formed it even to be inhabited: "I am Jehovah, and there is no one else"."God did not create the earth and all of it's splendor just to destroy it because mankind has polluted it. You will be able to find all of this in your Bible.
When God created Adam and Eve, he told them to be fruitful and multiply and subdue the earth. When they chose to rebel and steal from God, which is what they did, they and all of their future offspring were damaged, and Jesus Christ had to come and remove that damage by giving His perfect life in exchange for the perfect life that Adam threw away. Jesus explained that the end of the the 'world' or 'system of things' was to take place, not the end of the planet. (Read Matthew Chapter 24 in your Bible) That chapter talks about the last days and the signs that we see taking place today. The planet hasn't sinned, therefore it doesn't deserve destruction.

Where in the Bible does God say only he knows the time the world will end?
Mar 13:31 Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away.
Mar 13:32 "No one knows, however, when that day or hour will come---neither the angels in heaven, nor the Son; only the Father knows.
Mar 13:33 Be on watch, be alert, for you do not know when the time will come.
In the verses above Jesus is talking about his return to earth he mentions the heaven and earth passing away and only the Father knows but if you look at the context you will see 'that day' is his return.
I think the Bible doesn't say only God knows when the world will end.

Jack Manuelian (Author)Judgment and the end of the world is called?
Armaggedon, the Apocolypse, it has several different names, or names that have become 'the judgement' in most people's minds. What Christ tells us is we will all be judged, each according to his works.
What does the bible say about the end times and being unable to distinguish one season from another?
This is an enormous question, but we will simplify as much as possible and give a brief answer. The "end times" is somewhat vague, but for purposes of this article, everything from now on will be considered the end times.
the Bible describes specific events and conditions that will occur in the final days. In Revelation 11:1-2 an angel reveals to the apostle John how long gentiles will control the city: "And they will tread the holy city underfoot for forty-two months"-the equivalent of 3 1⁄2 years.
It will also be a time of intense persecution of God's people. Jesus warned of troubling trends that He called "the beginning of sorrows" (Matthew 24:8). Then, He said, "they will deliver you up to tribulation and kill you, and you will be hated by all nations for My name's sake. And then many will be offended, will betray one another, and will hate one another. Then many false prophets will rise up and deceive many. And because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold. But he who endures to the end shall be saved" (verses 9-13).
In the book of Revelation, John sees a vision in which some of God's people, depicted as a woman, are sheltered from Satan's persecution and "nourished for a time and times and half a time"-for 3 1⁄2 years (Revelation 12:14). Furious at being unable to attack these people, Satan will "make war with the rest of her offspring, who keep the commandments of God and have the testimony of Jesus Christ" (verse 17).
Thus we see in three prophecies of the end time that the focus is on a culminating 3 1⁄2 -year period of worldwide distress so terrifying and threatening to human survival that God will never allow such to occur again. Such prophecies help us understand the conditions and events that will mark the beginning of this crucial period. he Bible speaks of "the time of the end." But exactly what will come to an end?
Many think the reference is to the end of the world, especially since the King James Version of the New Testament has Jesus' disciples asking Him about "the end of the world" in Matthew 24:3. But the word translated "world" in this passage is the Greek word aion (from which we derive the English word eon), signifying "a period of indefinite duration … marked by spiritual or moral characteristics" Vine's Complete Expository Dictionary of Old and New Testament Words, 1985, "Age"). The New King James Version correctly renders the word as "age."
The Greek aion and its English derivative eon mean essentially the same thing-an age, an epoch, an era. Jesus' disciples were not asking about the end of our physical planet, the earth. Rather, they were inquiring about the end of this era of man's rule on the earth. They well knew the many prophecies of the Old Testament that foretell the coming age of the rule of the Messiah in the Kingdom of God.
Paul contrasted the age "which is to come" (Ephesians 1:21) with the world we know, which he called "this present evil age" (Galatians 1:4). Spiritually and morally, this age and the age to come are opposites. To properly understand the two, we must realize that this is not God's world. God is not the author of the broken homes, shattered marriages, violence, racial and ethnic hatred, governmental corruption, greed, pollution, depression, disease and persecution and the resultant suffering we see around us. Paul pinpoints the cause of these sorrows as "the god of this age" (2 Corinthians 4:4), none other than Satan the devil.
How great is the influence of this being? The apostle John tells us that "the whole world lies under the sway of the wicked one" (1 John 5:19). All of humanity is influenced by the thinking, attitudes and actions of this wicked being and his evil cohorts, the demons. John further warns that Satan's deceptive power is so great that he "deceives the whole world" (Revelation 12:9).
Satan's influence is as powerful as it is pervasive. Odd as it may sound, one of Satan's greatest areas of influence is religion, where his ideas-not God's-dominate. Paul warns Christians of Satan's deceptive power even within Christianity: Just as "Satan himself transforms himself into an angel of light," so do his representatives masquerade as "ministers of righteousness" and "apostles of Christ" (2 Corinthians 11:13-15).
Paul warns those who would live godly lives that they must constantly struggle against unseen spiritual influences dominating the world around them. "For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places" (Ephesians 6:12).
Under Satan's influence, the world has its own "wisdom" (1 Corinthians 1:20-29), a way of thinking that considers the God of the Bible and His way of life as "foolishness" (1 Corinthians 2:14). As a result, mankind does not recognize that it is man's collective rejection of God and His ways that has brought the suffering and sorrow that permeate the world.
When Scripture mentions "the time of the end" or "the end of the age," it is referring to the coming end of the present evil age. This age-in reality the age of Satan -will draw to an end, replaced by the age of God's rule over and guidance of all of humanity.
This age to come-often referred to in the Bible as the time the Kingdom of God will govern the earth-will be ushered in by Jesus Christ at His return.
Does the Book of Revelation in the Bible speak of the end time?
Nowhere does the Bible speak of the "end of time"... in Revelation or any of its other books. It doesn't prophesy that "time will stop!"
It speaks of the "time of the end"... or the "end of the age"... or the "end of this present time allotment" of God's plan [a time dispensation of 6000 years] that God has given to man for his first experience at LIVING; at EXISTING: to learn that there are Good things in life [obedience to His Commandments; Loving and Caring about others] as well as Evil and Sin [DIS-obedience to His Commandments - I John 3:4; not caring about anyone or anything but yourself]. So that, at the conclusion of that plan [at the time of the end]... men shall have learned to distinguish between the two; and choose the path they will take -- to embrace the Good [Obedience] or the Evil [Lawlessness and Disobedience].
"By the time the child is old enough to eat curds and honey, He will know enough to CHOOSE WHAT IS RIGHT and REJECT WHAT IS WRONG." (Isa.7:15 NLT New Living Translation)
"Time" is one of those funny [funny, odd; not funny, ha-ha] concepts for the finite human mind to try to grasp. The question arises:
"Is time SPIRITUAL or PHYSICAL?"
The fact of the matter is that when God created the universe and the planets, and set those planets IN MOTION -- TIME BEGAN! Because "time" [to us] is measured by the incremental movements; orbits and rotations of the planets, as observed from a fixed position on earth!
Time is physical.
A day on earth [a 24-hour period of time] is measured from sunrise to sunrise [or sunset to sunset]... either of which is ONE ROTATION OF THE EARTH as viewed from a fixed position on earth.
A month on earth [a biblically prophetic 30-day period of time] is measured by the "30-day moon phases, new moon to new moon" -- which is a natural phenomenon that doesn't align with man's measurement of time: presently the "unnatural calendar design" that employs twelve months of conflicted 28 [sometimes 29], 30 and 31 day months that were influenced by the egos of worshiped historical leaders of governments.
Legend has it that Julius Caesar demanded that the month named after him on the new calendar [July] employ 31 days... a day more than all the rest; to which Augustus Caesar insisted that his month [August] contain 31 also. And in the ensuing jockeying by the astrologers... pressed into service to come up with a somewhat compatible calendar for man to use [instead of bowing to what God has made]... the true moon phases and true month recognition became lost to us as a true reckoning of the passing months and years. And seldom, if ever, does a new moon occur on the first day of any of man's contrived calendar months... thus, throwing man's true concept of time into obscurity.
Therefore, for "time to end" -- for time to 'STOP' -- THE ROTATIONS AND ORBITS OF THE PLANETS OF THE UNIVERSE WOULD HAVE TO CEASE! God tells us in the book of Revelation that at "the end of the age"... at "the time of the end of His 6000-year plan {actually, 7000-year plan, counting His thousand-year Sabbath day rule over the earth when He returns, following man's allotted 6000-year-day work week} " that will conclude on the Last Great Day of His plan; JUDGMENT DAY... He is going to remake the heavens and the earth [see Rev.21:1].
"And He that sat upon the throne said, 'Behold, I MAKE ALL THINGS NEW.' And He said unto me, 'Write, for these Words are TRUE and FAITHFUL.'" (Rev.21:5)
Will God re-make it so the planets no longer rotate and orbit? Will "time end, then?" Will "Eternity" begin then?
Or is the universe merely in its infancy since its initial startup in the beginning? Is it merely in the first stage of Eternity?
Is Eternity "the end of time" -- or "time WITHOUT END?"
Neither Revelation nor any of the other books of God's revealed Word speaks of "time ending"... of the planets ceasing their rotations and orbits. They only speak of this PRESENT AGE coming to its conclusion: the "timed plan of God" that's winding down to Judgment Day, when every man's first experience at "LIVING" [or "existing" as the case may be; considering that most men have lived and died not knowing the Truth of God, thus making much of their existence devoid of having truly "Lived"] being assessed according to the things they'd done in [or with] their lives, as measured against the Words that are written in the "opened books of the Bible." Against the TRUTH written in the Bible [see John 17:17]. The TRUTH that this world has rejected for going on about 6000 years, now:
"...and the books [of the Bible, see John 12:48] were opened... and the [resurrected] dead were Judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works." (Rev.20:13)
The books of the Bible speak of "Eternity." This can either be construed as a radical re-creation of the universe in which THE PLANETS in the universe NO LONGER ROTATE OR ORBIT; where TIME ACTUALLY STOPS -- or it can mean that "time merely continues with planetary movements, rotations and orbits without interruption -- FOREVER."
The Bible reveals evidence of a thing called "Eternity." The word isn't in Revelation, but Isaiah tells us:
"The High and Lofty One who INHABITS ETERNITY, the Holy One, says this: 'I LIVE in that High and Holy Place with those whose spirits are contrite and humble. I refresh the humble and give new courage to those with repentant hearts." (Isa.57:15 NLT)
The "inspired" word for "Eternity" is " 'owlam" [o-lawm'], which is: "...generally, time out of mind (past or future), i.e. (practically) eternity... always: KJV-- alway(-s)... continuance, eternal... ever[-lasting, -more, of old)... perpetual, at any time, (beginning of the) world (+ without end)..." (Strong's Definitions)
The movements, rotations and orbits of the planets are "perpetually" in motion. Time doesn't stand still. It doesn't stop. It passes... forever... for all Eternity.
The Bible reveals that God's plan is on a "time schedule."
"For when we were yet without strength, IN DUE TIME Christ died for the ungodly." (Rom.5:6)
"...these events happened to them as examples for us. They were written down TO WARN US, WHO LIVE AT THE TIME WHEN THIS AGE IS DRAWING TO A CLOSE." I Cor.10:11 NLT)
Revelation doesn't speak of "the end of time." It says:
"...FOR THE TIME IS NEAR when these things will happen." (Rev.1:3 NLT)
"I gave her TIME to repent..." (Rev.2:21 NLT).
"...I will protect you from the GREAT TIME OF TESTING that will come upon THE WHOLE WORLD to test those who belong to this world." (Rev.3:10 NLT)
"The nations were angry with You, but now THE TIME OF YOUR WRATH has come. THE TIME TO JUDGE THE DEAD and reward your servants." (Rev.11:18 NLT)
"...For the Devil has come down to you in great anger, and he knows that he has LITTLE TIME." (Rev.12:12 NLT)
"'Fear God,' he shouted. 'Give Glory to Him. For THE TIME HAS COME when He will sit as Judge. Worship Him who made heaven and earth, the sea, and all the springs of water." (Rev.14:7 NLT)
"...'Use the sickle, for THE TIME HAS COME for you to harvest; the crop is ripe on the earth.'" (Rev.14:15 NLT)
"...the TIME HAS COME for the Wedding Feast of the Lamb, and His bride has prepared herself." (Rev.19:7 NLT)
"...Do not seal up the prophetic Words you have written, for THE TIME IS NEAR. Let the one who is doing wrong continue to do wrong; the one who is vile, continue to be vile; the one who is good, continue to do good; and the one who is holy, continue in holiness. See, I AM COMING SOON, and My reward is with Me, to repay all according to their deeds." (Rev.22:10-12 NLT)
Revelation says nothing about "the end of time" or "time stopping." It talks about a number of things in God's plan happening IN THEIR PROPER TIME FRAME!
Answer/
Yes. 'There shall be no night there..no light of the sun...for the Lord God gives the light for ever and ever'.
Revelation 22:5 describes the end of time - for there will be no tomorrow, no yesterday, nor spring nor winter, summer nor autumn, for there is no sunset and sunrise, but one long day.
Time thenceforth will no longer be counted, for there are no longer hours or days or months or years.
Is Prophet Tom Deckard a false prophet?
Answer 1
He probably is a false prophet, although he will deny it. Most of his critics (and he has many) accuse him of being a fraud and a scam artist. They say he uses his skills as a televangelist to persuade gullible people to donate to his ministry, and he maintains a cult-like hold on his followers. There are many such people today who claim to be "prophets" but who do not fit the biblical description; they seek to make themselves important, to live in beautiful homes and have wealth and power, rather than acting like humble holy men. They also claim to have knowledge of God's will, when there is no evidence that they do. That said, for those who believe in him, they are convinced he is a holy man and they continue to donate to the causes he claims to support.
Answer 2
Critics will tell you that Tom Deckard is a false prophet, but the truth is within his teachings and the way he lives his life. Only GOD and those who are truly close to Tom Deckard know that he is a godly man and a Major Prophet of GOD.
According to Wikipedia, a Prophet is defined as, "an individual who is claimed to have been contacted by thesupernatural or the divine, and to speak for them, serving as an intermediary with humanity, delivering this newfound knowledge from the supernatural entity to other people. The message that the prophet conveys is called a prophecy."
It is our free will which allows us to believe or reject the truth of supernatural knowledge. Those who reject the existence of supernatural knowledge will inevitably deny that prophets exist.
I would like to add that Prophet Tom Deckard is sited as an end-time prophet by Wikipedia as well. See the Related Link below.
When did Charles Taze Russell predict the end of the world?
Russell never actually predicted the "end of the world" for any date. https://rlctr.blogspot.com/p/russell-and-end-of-world.html
What are the chances of the world ending on December 12 in year of 2012?
i do not know but they said in 2000 and 2006 the world will end but it did not. the pattern for "the end of the world" seems to happen every six years. so i dont think it'll happen
Many religious people and scientists have been looking around and many signs have led to the theory that the world will end in 2012. It's always possible. And besides, there is a saying that goes "the third time is a charm", and if that is true, then 2000 (a.k.a. y2k) was the first prediction, then 2006 was the second prediction, and the THIRD prediction was 2012. Although I think its is a 50-50 chance, it is up to you to decide what you think the truth is.
What can cause the world to end in a fire?
Nuclear war would not be likely to cause destruction by fire; there is a miniscule chance of setting the atmosphere alight, but nuclear winter (extreme cooling caused by fallout) is more likely in the event of absolute nuclear war.
Why does The Lord have end of the world in the first place?
The "end of the world" is another satanic deception foisted upon mankind by the this world's god. He would like nothing better than to twist, pervert and otherwise "destroy" everything God has made. ALL OF CREATION.
When God speaks of the "end of the world"... He's talking about the end of the AGE... or the "dispensation of time" that He has allotted to man to rule the earth on his own.
Jesus reveals in the Bible that as this "time period" or "AGE" of man's rule comes to its close [which He calls Great Tribulation]... the world will come perilously close to ending with all life on it:
"...for then shall be Great Tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be. And except those days should be shortened, THERE SHOULD NO FLESH BE SAVED [man or animal flesh]: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened." (Matt.24:21-22)
God is going to SAVE THE WORLD FROM MAN'S ERRANT RULE OF THE EARTH! He's letting man's AGE of lawlessness and sin teach him how NOT TO GOVERN [how NOT TO LIVE] for a lesson that will last him for all Eternity.
We're told in the Bible that one of the reasons God is returning to earth is to:
"...DESTROY THEM WHICH DESTROY THE EARTH." (Rev.11:18) The greatest of whom is the god of this world to whom man has been enslaved since the Garden of Eden -- SATAN the Devil."
"...they had a king over them, which is the angel of the Bottomless Pit, whose name in the Hebrew tongue is ABADDON["a destroying angel" - Strong's Definitions], but in the Greek tongue hath his name APOLLYON ["a destroyer(i.e. Satan)..." - Strong's Definitions]" (Rev.9:11)
God is going to STOP THE ENDING OF THE EARTH before man causes it to happen... under the destructive guiding hand of his god, Satan.
"...world WITHOUT END." (Isa.45:17).
"And I saw a New Heaven and a NEW EARTH... And I John saw the Holy City, New Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven... Behold, the Tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell with them, and they shall be His people, and God Himself SHALL BE WITH THEM..." (Rev.21:1-3).
"...Behold, I MAKE ALL THINGS NEW..." (verse 5).
"...and the nations of them WHICH ARE SAVED shall walk in the Light of it: and the kings OF THE EARTH do bring their glory and honour into it." (verse 24)
It's all a necessary character-building learning process; learning the ways of evil... so that GOOD may be seen in its proper Light. That its lesson may be indelibly impressed upon God's Children, His future Immortal Family, that they might NEVER REPEAT it again for all Eternity.
God doesn't "have the world end." He "ALLOWS" man to "have his time" [his AGE] to bring it inevitably close to ending... through the works of his sins. But, shall SAVE man and the earth as man's "time of rule on the earth" is done.
"...Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus." (Rev.22:20)
