The original show ended in 1980, but is still featured in syndication...(although not widely enough for this fan, lol); YTV used to show it back in the early 90's, I believe, but they've stuck mostly to newer programming since then...same with Family Channel, unfortunately.

As history decrees- the Muppets eventually settled down to domestic life on Sesame Street.
