I got mine to open by following the directions directly from EA Games' website - it worked for me.
Just delete your body shop shortcut (if you have one) then go on all programs>EA games>sims 2 the drag body shop onto your desktop now click or double click and it should work! worked for me anyways

This used to happen to me ALL THE TIME! First, try to open it again by going into all programs>Maxis>EA games> sims2> Bodyshop. If it says that the program is not working, it means that it is not installed completely, or it needs to be debugged. So click 'debug' and then try to re-open it again. If it still does not work, then click your start button, and click my computer. It shows you a list of all the programs on your computer. Scroll down until you see Sims2 BodyShop. Then click on it, and view its redeem file, or if it says INSTALLATION UN-COMPLETE, click COMPLETE INSTALLATION. If you choose to look over the redeem file, copy the code, and rename the bodyshop file by pasting in the code. Now if this doesn't work either, you will need a simPE or a Sims patch. If it still doesn't work, it means that your computer won't work with it no matter what. Usually it will only work with the newest software such as windows vista, or the new verison of Mac. pro. Sorry if it doesn't work =p

The first thing to try when body shop doesn't open is to open your Sims 2 folder and delete the cigen file. Sometimes it becomes corrupted and prevents the game from opening. The same thing is true for your the groups cache file if your game does nothing when you try to start it. Deleting those files hurts nothing and your game will generate new ones when it starts up again.
My body shop stopped working a few days ago and deleting the cigen file from my Sims 2 folder worked for me.

For me, I had something similar to bodyshop - it was the create a sims demo, so body shop would not work. maybe something like that happened for you?try deleting the create-a-sim demo (if you have it - if u don't ignore me) idk, im just saying

Well one cheat you can do for any game is press CTRL, SHIFT and C at the same time. Than type boolprop testingcheatsenabled true JUST LIKE THAT WITH ALL SPACES in the cheat box and press ENTER. Then go to the create a family place and when its done loading press SHIFT N at the same time it will say in debugging mode, and there will be lots of extra clothes. Hope I helped!!!!

You cant woohoo on the PlayStation 2 version. They just get in the bed and relax. While they relax all they do is read a book. If your not relaxing then you can only sleep but I believe on the Sims 2 you can woohoo.
if you are talking about making the pets woohoo then all you have to do is go to your pet and say try offspring with ... whatever pets there are when the options for try offspring with are (note: you need like a pet house, you can buy them in buy mode)

(something like that) And then u click on the other dogs name you would like to breed with and then they would go inside a dog house a woohoo. and when you hear Little bells ring then ur dog is now prenet. it might take a few days for it to have puppies.
