There is any easier way that doesn't involve using the cheat menu.Invite a sim over that your parent (who has just lost his child to the social worker) is friends with. Have them Propose>Move In and then when that sim accepts, have him or her go to the phone and select Adoption.

Unless you've had multiple families in the neighborhood lose their kids, the first kid to come should be the same child that was just taken from the parent.

Sorta off subject: I had two twins taken away and since you can only adopt once per day when I had the roommate adopt them back their signs had changed and their birthdays were now one day apart. Not too major, assuming they'd be in the orphanage for the rest of their days otherwise.

Well, the Sims 3 isn't out yet. It is set to be released on June 2nd (in America).I would imagine that the Sims 3 will be better than the Sims 2. There is more to choose from such as visiting anyone's house, easy to decorate furniture, a "seamless" neighborhood (no loading screens), different sizes for sims (very skinny, muscular, heavier, very fat, etc), and the ability to chance ANY part of their outfit (shoes can be chosen now). The graphics are better, and the gameplay is easier.

Also, sims now have five personality traits. The traits they have carry through into gameplay. Example: a sensitive sim would probably take everything personal (I'm guessing this would mean the sim would have a negative sign a lot when talking to someone) and a lazy sim will not like to clean up their messes.

Overall, I'm guessing that the Sims 3 will be a lot better and have much more to offer.

I KNOW. You have to have 2 floors, you place one elevator downstairs and one directly above it on the second floor, must be on top. Then it should work, it did on mine anyway. Hope i helped!

Alright, can answer this one. Drove be nuts, too. For every floor that you want the elevator to open, you use the elevator, NOT the shaft. Place the first one on the ground level, or whatever floor you want to start from. You have to have the floor placed, and the walls. Next level, build the walls, and place some flooring inside. Yeah, seems weird, I know, but you can't place it without floor. Then place that elevator. Same for each level. That's all there is to it. The shaft is ONLY for going past a floor where you don't want the elevator to stop. Basically, the elevator is the doors, and the game fills in the car or something like that. So, actual elevator for every level you want it to open, and that WILL work. Know what a pain this can be, so hope this answer finds people that need it!

Yes. You can. But you must have an installed version of another Sims game that allows you to have pets on it.

Ex: I had the Sims 2 University for a while, and, when you go into 'Create a family' mode, the icon you click on to make a Sim had extra icons by it. One was 'Create Sim', 'Toddler', 'Dog', and 'Cat'. Of course though, I couldn't use the 'Create dog/cat' one because I didn't have any other games installed that had pets on it. Some time ago though I bought the Sims 2 Pets and installed it, and now I can create pets on Sims 2 University now as well as play Sims 2 pets regularly.

So, yes. You can, but an additional Sims game must be installed on your device (pc) if you have a Sims game you can't create pets on. Afterward, you should be able to have fun with as many pets as you'd like ^^

(P.S. If you just have the Sims 2 pets and no other Sims games that fine. It'll still work.)

First of all there are some steps that you need to take.

1. well go to violet and talk to her about the missing cat. She will tell you about Weather (her cat) and tell you she liked to go for walks at Little Lea Lake. So go there.

2. You will probobly find Tim, who runs the sweet wagon. Talk to him about the missing cat and show him the picture of Violet and Weather. He will then say he saw a cat with a distinctive white bow in the Station Plaza. That is your next stop.

3. Once you are there go talk to Ginny, the police officer. Then show her the picture of the missing cat and she will say that sh saw the white bow in the East Village (where Violet and Weather live). That is your next destination.

4.Find the bow near Kyuoko's clothes shop. Then after you have picked it up, go show Violet. She will say that it is not Weather's, but Michelle's white bow that she lost and she will probobly be at the BaySide if it is the middle of the day, or in the morning, at Tim's house.

5.Once you have fond Michelle, you will give her the bow back andshe will tell you where she heard a cat meowing. Your next step is at the Petting Zoo.

6. You are now at the Petting Zoo and Tobor will talk to you as soon as you arrive there, and you will then hear a cat meow, so you go to the wooden boxes and monuver them about until you get the cat. Then it will turn into one of thoose little clip things where people come in and you can't exacly do anything.
