The Smurfs

1. Papa Smurf is the leader of the Smurf community and has a bushy white beard and red pants.
2. Smurfette is a female Smurf who was created by Gargamel. Her hair was black but turned blond when Papa Smurf turned her into a real smurf. She was the only female smurf until the creation of Sassette.
3. Hefty Smurf has incredible strength and often does a lot of the heavy work in the village.
4. Brainy Smurf has glasses and considers himself the smartest smurf in the village. Most of the time, the other smurfs never listen to his plans.
5. Grouchy Smurf usually has a scowl on his faces and his catchphrase is "I hate (something somebody mentioned)"
6. Clumsy Smurf is, well, the clumiest smurf in the village. He often gets rejected from plans because he's known to mess things up.
7. Greedy Smurf has an exceptional interest in eating cakes and other pastry. Greedy usually cannot seem to help himself, and he is often chased by Baker Smurf for stealing snacks and food.
8. Jokey Smurf is the village prankster. He always offers his victims a yellow and red package saying it's a "surprise". When opened, the "present" explodes in the victim's face.
9. Vanity Smurf has a flower in his hat, and he often holds a hand mirror, staring into his own reflection, which he kisses often.
10. Handy Smurf (depicted as wearing overalls, a visor attached to the front of his cap, and with a pencil above his ear) is the handyman of the Smurfs.
11. Harmony Smurf is a musician who especially loves to play the trumpet, although his musical ability shows a total lack of harmony.
12. Painter smurf is a brilliant artist. He often wears a red jacket with a black tie, and is often seen either making a painting or a sculpture.
13. Baby Smurf was brought by a stork on a blue moon night to the Smurf village. He has magical powers in the animated version, and, like Earth babies, he babbles, laughs, and cries. He wears pink or white clothing.
14. Farmer Smurf plants the crops for the Smurfs and helps organize the harvest. Farmer Smurf wears dark green overalls, wooden clogs, and a straw hat, with its crown styled like the white Phrygian-style caps of the other Smurfs, but with a full wide brim.
15. Sassette Smurfling was created by the Smurfs to serve as a sister for Smurfette. Like Smurfette, Sassette was evil at first as she was created by Gargamel. She is a little freckled redhead female Smurfling with pigtails and pink overalls.
16. Lazy Smurf is the laziest of all the Smurfs. He spends almost all his time sleeping, either in his bed, a hammock, on the grass, or anywhere, anytime, day or night.
17. Miner Smurf is the local miner of the village. He wears an old dark blue jacket, red neckerchief, trousers, and a metal hard hat.
18. Wild Smurf only wears clothing made of leaves. He is a young feral Smurf and is not understood by the other Smurfs. Having been lost as a baby and brought up by a family of squirrels, he can communicate with animals and ask for their assistance.
