Jason Michael Carroll does not have a twitter. I work for a country radio station, and he had a concert at one of the casinos in town. That was the very question I asked him... His response was... "probably cause I don't give a tweet" . Then he laugh saying that he just couldn't get into the whole social networking thing.

When the biggest websites on the Internet are all concerned with phatic day-to-day occurrence's, it is only natural that they appear informal and chatty. But the lack of human contact has prompted artificial exchanges in emotions and greeting, where the satisfaction of a well received joke has been replaced with LOL. Emoticons seem to be placed anywhere and everywhere in a convo. I now hear LOL and ROFL creeping into the real world, is the Internet shaping the direction of English language in the future? Antonyms oversimplify technical words and convenience abbreviates even the simplest phrases. Will laziness undo the possible development of English language or is this the natural progression oflanguage for it's technological era? :P

Yes, I think it is a prerequisite in every sign ups in whatever social media sites you wanted to create an account. It is where twitter will send you the confirmation/verification code or link for your account to be verified. Meanwhile, it is optional to receive updates from twitter to your email.

If they use the net their time on-line is monitored by those around them to keep them safe, which means no social networking profiles, besides they would probably have more important things to do, and the family is trying to keep them as busy as possible (going to karate and other activities).
