They're essentially the same drug - the only difference is that Vico-Profen is a combination drug like Percocet or Percodan - Percocet is a combination of Oxycodone and Tylenol, Percodan Oxycodone and Aspirin.

Vico-Profen is a combination of Vicodin (Hydrocodone) and Ibuprofen (Motrin). The only difference would be the Hydrocodone component in the drug, whether or not it's less than the Vicodin dosage you were taking. If lower, then it's not as potent.

It doesn't. Vicodin is a CNS depressant, which means it relaxes people and reduces pain. It doesn't make someone violent.

edit The fact you are asking means at least one person has experienced an adverse reaction to Vicodin. Alcohol is also classified as a depressant but some people do become violent when intoxicated The problem could be the result of a minor psychological problem. The drug may inhibit your subconscious denial of an anger you have suppressed. If you have similar reactions to other depressants you may want to talk with someone about it. Discussing how you feel with a trusted friend can sometimes help as much as talking to a trained professional . The fact you even questioned your anger is a health response.

I must state that any such medical reaction is very rare but, should not be ruled out. . My best advise is to ask your doctor . He may want to change your pain medication. The truth is, every one is different. I once became extremely anxious when given Thorazine for a chronic case of hiccups, 3days. Thorazine is a very powerful CNS depressant and anti-psychotic.

The two are very close. Oxycodone differs in that is has a hydroxyl group at Carbon 14 (hydrogen/oxygen rather than just hydrogen), hence the name "Oxy" in Oxycodone.

I'm not sure, but I took some Vicodin the other day and the edges of my tongue it are rather raw, and hurt a bit. When I look at it in the mirror there are some spots that are more fleshy then others. I've taken other brands of hydrocodone/acetaminophen combinations and haven't experienced this before. However I can't think of anything else I could have done to make my tongue this way. Possibly I bit it while I was sleeping, but didn't feel it because of the Vicodin?

In a literal sense, no. One is solid while the other is liquid - and liquid gets absorbed into your body faster. However, 5mg is 5mg so I would imagine the dosage would be the same.

Also the FDA has two drug ratings Class A and Class B, some manufacturers have stricter guidelines and use less fillers/additives. Legally the effectiveness and potency must be the same but typically Class A drugs are more easily absorbed and metabolized. It also depends on body chemistry, since everyone is different certain people do better with generic some better with name-brand, it depends on what works best for you. The generic vicodin made by Watson is rated class A, the generic by mallinckrpdt(M357) is class B. To find out what class a drug is ask your pharmacist.

No it will not kill you, you can take both, but only take 1 morphine every 12 hrs and no more then 1 - 10.5 hydrocodone every 8 hrs. That's 2 Morphine and 3 hydrocodone in a 24 hrs. Side effect's will be constipation

yes because there is a major drug interaction between hydrocodone and tramadol. Mind you that tramadol gives many people nausea.

I think it did for me and I was surpised. Usually, I don't take anything before a dental visit and the nitrous works BEAUTIFULLY. I had been in pain with the tooth and took hydro about an hour or so before an extraction. Nitrous was up full blast and it seemed like I went "in and out" of the effects of the nitrous, as opposed to where I typically feel like I'm in lala land the entire time. Cried like a baby, because the nitrous didn't have the usual "steady" anti-anxiety effect.

Liquid Vicodin will reach the blood stream faster. Usually liquid is given to those who can't swallow a pill at the time the medication is needed. They both have different MG and both must be prescribed by a licensed physician.

Yes and no. Hydrocodone 5-325 and 5-500 contain the same amount of Hydrocodone but 5-325 contains less acetiminophen. Wheras the 5-500 contains 5 mg of hydrocodone and 500 mg of acetiminophen, the 5-325 contains 5 mg of hydrocodone and 325 mg of acetiminophen. The 5-325 is better for you.

5 mg of Hydrocodone combined with 500mg Tylenol is Vicodin. Norco contains Hydrocodone but with only 325mg Acetaminophen (aka APAP) and comes in strengths of 5 mg, 7.5 mg, and 10 mg of Hydrocodone preparations.

I will only tell you the pharmaceutical value of Norco which contains Hydrocodone, and for me to know that I would need to know the milligram dosage of the Hydrocodone as there are several compounds of Norco.I wouldli ke to add that v 36 01 are 10/325 hydrocodone aceti. they sell for 2 - 5 bucks in the so cal area and 4-10 bucks in daytona/holly hill florida area...hope this helps you...

I am allergic to morphine as well. I can take Vicodin, Lortab, Norco etc, but at higher doses (10mg or above) I do sometimes get very slight hives on my face, but not like with morphine. Anything 10mg and below and I've had no problem. That is just my experience. That being said, I cannot take oxycodone, Percocet or any of it's derivatives as it causes MAJOR hives, itching, burning sensation, and respiratory distress. Hope this helps.
