I am allergic to morphine as well. I can take Vicodin, Lortab, Norco etc, but at higher doses (10mg or above) I do sometimes get very slight hives on my face, but not like with morphine. Anything 10mg and below and I've had no problem. That is just my experience. That being said, I cannot take oxycodone, Percocet or any of it's derivatives as it causes MAJOR hives, itching, burning sensation, and respiratory distress. Hope this helps.

Both are very bad. But I can personally say if you snort heroin or smoke it, and you only use up to ten bags a day vs 15-20 norcos, heroin is easier. Not to say switching is right! It's not! Have the strength. Have someone monitor you. Go to your doctor and ask for phenobarbital, clonidine, bentyl, and take as prescribed. You will feel dopey for 7 days and some die aria. But the anxiety is far less then nothing. You need to stop! Before you ruin everything. It's hard to see it but you are ruining your life. Drug seeking will take all your energy. It's not safe. I know all this sounds like a therapist or a fed up family member but I am in the same boat. I relapsed 6 weeks ago. After 6 months clean. Heroin. It's easy and cheap. But your trapped. Picked up my car and got 50 norcos. Now I'm on my second round of 50. Now my detox will be physically worse than smack. See what you do to yourself? People you don't want to find out will. So now I'm DESPERATELY looking for a free detox in LA. And there is no help for 4 weeks. Please. Please listen to me!!! Do not keep going. Stop now. Go to your doctor. Be HONEST. They will understand. It's ok to cry. As you probably need to release everything your hiding. So the answer is yes. In my experience its easier with hierion. But it's dangerouse. I've never shot up. So I can't say for sure what your deal is. I know that norcos attach to everything in your body while herion leaves more rapidly. They are both deadly. Save your life! Stop. Ask a freind to take you in for 6-7 days and take plenty of hot baths as this wakes up your senses. You need to wake your body up. Prepare yourself. Tv, food, and plenty of changes of night ware as you will wake up every 2-4 hours soaked if you cold turkey. Using the meds above stopped most of those issues. Please. Try! Of course we all know there are dangers to smoking (vaporizing) any drug; albeit : weed, tobacco, etc.. You get the idea. As far as what you are asking, from personal experience, yes, if you are a regular smoker there's no interference besides the itching and side effects you may have from the Vicodin. Just use your Vicodin as prescribed if you're worried and you'll be fine.

Absolutely! I just stopped taking Vicodin after being on it (1 pill a day 5/500) for 5 years straight. If you take that in place of your percocet,and you have to take a urine test, you will show up with "Hydrocodone" in your system rather than "Oxycodone"....or both depending on how long its been since you took percocet. That might not set well with your doctor. Hope this helps.
