Is vicodin 10's stronger than vicodin 750?

They are the same. Both have the same amount of Hydrocodone. The only difference is that Vicodin has 300mg more Acetaminophen. Acetaminophen compliments the effect of Hydrocodone, so it can feel stronger but is worse for your liver. 675mg is nothing to worry about but go with the Norco for recreation.

Acetaminophen gets dangerous around 2,000mg at once; 4,000mg in a day.

Can you mix Vicodin and Clonidine?

Hydromorphone does not have acetaminophen or Tylenol and Vicodin does. Some people take Hydromorphone for all day pain relief and the Vicodin for break-thru pain.

You cannot mix any medication that has acetaminophen with Vicodin or anything that has acetaminophen in it, and should always take drugs only under a doctor's care.

Is 10 500 stronger than 10 500 of hydrocodone?

A Hydrocodone pill usually has mixed with it Acetaminophen (chemical name is Paracetamol outside U.S., U.S. brand name Tylenol). Hydrocodone is a strong narcotic (Schedule II in U.S.) that suppressed the entire nervous system and also acts as a cough suppressant. Acetaminophen is included as a milder pain reliever (analgesic) to provide different effects. Hydrocodone is not sold alone in the U.S.

The Hydrocodone/Acetaminphen pill (aka Hydrocodone/APAP) is described with two numbers. The first number, for example 5 mg, gives the amount (strength) of the Hydrocodone. It is followed by another number, for example 500 mg, that gives the amount of the Acetaminophen.

So your question asked if Hydrocodone pills can include more than 500 mg of Acetaminophen?

The answer is YES.

Typically the pill comes in doses of 5mg/500mg, 7.5mg/750mg, and even 10mg/1000mg. However pharmaceutical manufacturers can formulate pills in other combinations to increase the drug's effect and/or reduce health risks.

Is Vicodin physically addictive?

Because it is an opiate. Same family as opium, morphine and heroin. These drugs are very helpful in the management of pain. However when there is no pain present, the effect is one of euphoria. The more you use of these drugs the more you will need to achieve the same high. It is a downward spiral that usually results in death through mishap or overdose.

How are kids taking vicodin?

They would NOT be fine from just one! If your infant takes Vicodin, call 911 and Poison Control IMMEDIATELY! They would become sleepy, have shallow breathing. They could go into a coma or stop breathing. If the Hydrocodone doesn't kill then, they could have SEVERE kidney problems from the Acetaminophen. I believe you are supposed to induce vomiting to get the pill out of their stomach, but don't take my word for it, do what 911 and Poison Control says.

How long should I wait to take a Suboxone after taking 7 days of Vicodins?

I guess it would be okay for you to take a vicodin after 48 hours of you not taking any suboxone. Suboxone has a long half life and that means it stays in your system for a long period of time. First of all, why would you want to only be on suboxone for a week? suboxone doesn't work in a week. And if it does work for you in a week then why would you want to touch a vicodin again??

Can vicodin and gabapentin be taken together?

My Dr/Surgeon prescribed Lyrica for my leg pain after a spinal fusion and I specifically asked him this question because I had been taking vicodin for pain. He said it would be ok to do so. The only thing you have to be aware of is that they both can make you drowsey so you shouldn't be planning to do much of anything until you are sure of how it is going to make you feel.

Are Vicodin and codeine the same thing?

soma is a muscle relaxxer morphine is a painkiller two totally different drugs

What is difference between Demerol and Vicodin?

The biggest difference is their potency - Demerol is a DEA Schedule 2 controlled substance, while Vicodin (Hydrocodone) is a Schedule 3 drug. Demerol (generic name Meperidine), being a Schedule 2 drug, is more tighty regulated - you cannot get refills, and each fill must be obtained with a new prescription each time. Also, many doctors don't like to prescribe Demerol because it's been associated with potential seizures. Personally I think it's that they're too chicken - I've used it for years with no problem.

Vicodin, being a Schedule 3 drug, can have refills on one prescription and isn't as tightly regulated, and is more often prescribed for most acute pain patients.

Pharmacologically, they're both morphine derivatives, though Demerol is a lot stronger. It's also more often given as an injectable or through an IV stream when a person is in the hospital.

What liquids will take Vicodin out of someones body?

m

No liquids. When Valium is taken, it gets dissolved in the tissues all over the body. Then it is gradually metabolized by the liver. It has a half-life of about 24 hours (in some patients, up to 200 hours!), i.e. every 24 hours the amount of Valium is made twice less. The liver cannot do it faster, and Valium cannot get out, or be washed out of the system by any liquid without being metabolized (that is, destroyed in the liver).

Can Vicodin cause Miscarriage?

There have been several studies saying that ibuprofen can increase/or cause a miscarriage. Ibuprofen can cause problems to the fluid that surrounds an underdeveloped fetus. It is said that problems can occur if you take ibuprofen in the first and third trimesters, but specialists aren't certain if taking it in the second trimester will pose problems (Yet some say it will.)...That is why doctors will say to take Tylenol (Acetaminophen). From what I've seen on many many threads dealing with medical problems...a vast amount of mothers are saying how they took 200mg of Advil and then later had a miscarriage. I hope this helped.

What is difference between Lortab 10mg and hydrocodone?

Hydrocodone apap 7.5 and 500 are refering to the strength of the medication. 5.00 is obviously less than the 7.5. And the difference between them and the loratab 10 is still the dosage. Loratab is another name for hydrocodone and the 10 is just a stronger dosage.

Is 10mg hydrocodone without acetaminophen available in an orange capsule?

no they don't make hydrocodone with out Tylenol. they only make oxycodone with out Tylenol

This is not actually true. I am not sure of the actual color of the capsule, but there is a prescription named reprexain which is hydrocodone 10 mg w/ 200 mg of ibuprofen. Again, I am unsure about the color.

The DEA drug schedule lists hydrocodone up to 15 mg without acetaminophen as a schedule III drug. If a pill exceeds 15mg, it becomes a schedule II drug. As I interpret it, that means hydrocodone without any other drug combined. People with liver disease cannot take acetaminophen, and people who take blood thinners cannot take ibuprofen.

What does hydrocodone pills do to you?

Alcohol will increase the central nervous system side effects of hydrocodone (i.e. drowsiness, dizziness, etc), which is dangerous. Most people taking hydrocodone will have a formulation with acetaminophen (Tylenol). Drinking alcohol with anything with Tylenol in it will increase the chances of irreversible liver damage.

How many beers a day is too many?

If you're asking this question, then the answer is yes, you are an alcoholic. Try this link... http://www.alcoholics-anonymous.org/en_is_aa_for_you.cfm

I regret not my past. I live for today. I will make my tomorrows. Come to present time. When the consumption of alcohol changes any of these three things, its too much. When alcohol makes you depressed, its too much. When alcohol makes you unavailable to do daily activities or responsibilities, its too much. When alcohol effects your performance on the next day, its too much. I got this creed from my chiropractor. It has helped me immensely. Come to present time. That means that at no point in your life will you experience this point in time again. If it is clouded by alcohol, or any other drug, plain and simple, youre missing life. I know its deep, but it has helped me immensely. Hope it helps you. By the way, thank you Dr. Lacy.
