They would NOT be fine from just one! If your infant takes Vicodin, call 911 and Poison Control IMMEDIATELY! They would become sleepy, have shallow breathing. They could go into a coma or stop breathing. If the Hydrocodone doesn't kill then, they could have SEVERE kidney problems from the Acetaminophen. I believe you are supposed to induce vomiting to get the pill out of their stomach, but don't take my word for it, do what 911 and Poison Control says.

I guess it would be okay for you to take a vicodin after 48 hours of you not taking any suboxone. Suboxone has a long half life and that means it stays in your system for a long period of time. First of all, why would you want to only be on suboxone for a week? suboxone doesn't work in a week. And if it does work for you in a week then why would you want to touch a vicodin again??

My Dr/Surgeon prescribed Lyrica for my leg pain after a spinal fusion and I specifically asked him this question because I had been taking vicodin for pain. He said it would be ok to do so. The only thing you have to be aware of is that they both can make you drowsey so you shouldn't be planning to do much of anything until you are sure of how it is going to make you feel.

The biggest difference is their potency - Demerol is a DEA Schedule 2 controlled substance, while Vicodin (Hydrocodone) is a Schedule 3 drug. Demerol (generic name Meperidine), being a Schedule 2 drug, is more tighty regulated - you cannot get refills, and each fill must be obtained with a new prescription each time. Also, many doctors don't like to prescribe Demerol because it's been associated with potential seizures. Personally I think it's that they're too chicken - I've used it for years with no problem.

Vicodin, being a Schedule 3 drug, can have refills on one prescription and isn't as tightly regulated, and is more often prescribed for most acute pain patients.

Pharmacologically, they're both morphine derivatives, though Demerol is a lot stronger. It's also more often given as an injectable or through an IV stream when a person is in the hospital.

It has a half-life of about 24 hours (in some patients, up to 200 hours!), i.e. every 24 hours the amount of Valium is made twice less. The liver cannot do it faster, and Valium cannot get out, or be washed out of the system by any liquid without being metabolized (that is, destroyed in the liver).

There have been several studies saying that ibuprofen can increase/or cause a miscarriage. Ibuprofen can cause problems to the fluid that surrounds an underdeveloped fetus. It is said that problems can occur if you take ibuprofen in the first and third trimesters, but specialists aren't certain if taking it in the second trimester will pose problems (Yet some say it will.)...That is why doctors will say to take Tylenol (Acetaminophen). Hydrocodone apap 7.5 and 500 are refering to the strength of the medication. 5.00 is obviously less than the 7.5. And the difference between them and the loratab 10 is still the dosage. Loratab is another name for hydrocodone and the 10 is just a stronger dosage.

This is not actually true. I am not sure of the actual color of the capsule, but there is a prescription named reprexain which is hydrocodone 10 mg w/ 200 mg of ibuprofen. Again, I am unsure about the color.

The DEA drug schedule lists hydrocodone up to 15 mg without acetaminophen as a schedule III drug. If a pill exceeds 15mg, it becomes a schedule II drug. As I interpret it, that means hydrocodone without any other drug combined. People with liver disease cannot take acetaminophen, and people who take blood thinners cannot take ibuprofen.

Alcohol will increase the central nervous system side effects of hydrocodone (i.e. drowsiness, dizziness, etc), which is dangerous. Most people taking hydrocodone will have a formulation with acetaminophen (Tylenol). Drinking alcohol with anything with Tylenol in it will increase the chances of irreversible liver damage.

Vicodin ES contains 750mg of Tylenol which if you several times a day do not exceed five pills per day as 4000 mg is the max 24 hour dosage for Tylenol.

Too much Tylenol can cause liver failure look at other preparations like Norco that contain 325mg of Tylenol and others contain 500mg and 650mg.

Vicidon and heroin technically are both opiates. However, depending on the drug test will depend on which will show up. Most drug tests are done with a urine dip. Which is with a dip stick that will show only if certain things come up in your urine. Not being as detailed on this type of test yes they will show up as the same thing, being opiates. Now if a blood test is taken then most likely it will be sent to the lab and then a more detailed screen will be done showing weather or not it is an illegal drug or a prescription drug.

Yes they are essentially the same. Hydrocodone Bitartrate is the narcotic medication in Vicodin. Each tablet of Vicodin contains both Hydrocodone and acetaminiphen (Tylenol).

This is a very common symptom of third trimester pregnancy. Many people also experience swelling (or edema) of the hands and feet when doing long runs or hikes. It happened to me. I usually take methadone in a very small dose once per day. My doc was out of town when I needed a refill so the office called in a 1 day script of hydrocodone. The next day I took a urine test and failed. It showed up as hydromorphone. My doctor will not fill my script until I can prove that this can happen. Believe me that I will and whoever is responsible for this will be handed a big fat malpractice suit. You can't just cold turkey methadone.

Yes. You will be fine. Your only side effects will be increased drowsiness. Basically, Vicodin slows your body down and so does the Lopressor(metoprolol), so you might "feel it" more. If you have a home monitor, keep an eye on your blood pressure to make sure it doesn't go down *too* much.

these are in two different drug classes, so one cannot really make an answer to that. vicodin is an opiate painkiller, while carisoprodol is a skeletal muscle relaxant. so i guess in terms of "strength" of addiction properties, vicodin is stronger (and may have more of an euphoric effect)
