Interesting question. Here are a few thoughts. You don't know someone until you live with them. My brother in law met a Russian girl on-line, brought to the US, found out she was a gold digger and sent her back. A year later he met another one, brought her and her son over, married her and the rest is history. There are a lot of unanswered compatiblity issues with a relationship that exists only online.
