How long does it take your body to gain muscle?
Depends on how much you exercise.
"May I know how long does it take for my muscles to grow visibly?" Well, as a professional fitness personal trainer, I get variations of this question from almost every new client. So how can I answer that question because there are also many variable factors like for instance, if you are fat, you can't see your muscle growth unless you take the fat off or what is being visible is subjective from person to person. For the hardgainers (people who have difficulty in gaining weight), gaining weight or muscles can be very a difficult and tedious process without professional help. For the genetically endowed, muscle growth can be very fast while some others may make only little progress or even no improvement at all (the latter being lack of muscle building education). Therefore, if you are wondering how long does it take to grow muscles, then I must be forthright with you and tell you that there is just no direct answer. However, the good news is that if you eat and exercise correctly, your muscles will definitely grow, even for hardgainers. Unknown to many people, muscles do not grow in a linear process but in a series of spurts and as such, no matter how hard you workout your muscles and how much you eat, your muscles will probably not grow at predictable pace. I know that this fact will surprise many people. There are many more reasons influencing your muscle growth and not everyone will build muscles at the same rate even if they are working out with the same weight, exercises and eating the same food. Some people are genetically predisposed to growing muscles and will see amazing results after only just a few months. We all know that the Mesomorphs (sporty body frame) will grow muscles faster than the Ectomorphs (slender body frame). Your rate of muscle growth will also depend largely on how close you are to the upper limit of what you are naturally capable of in terms of growing muscle mass. This phenomenon is known as the adaptation ceiling. What this means is that closer you are to this upper adaptation limit, the slower your muscle will grow. To put it in simpler terms, someone who has been working out with weights for a few years will grow muscles much more slowly than a novice who is new to weight lifting. Another fact is that it is not uncommon for people to gain body fat when they are growing muscles. The amount of fat you gain will depend on how much you eat, what you eat and also on how lean you were when you first started to fuel your muscle growth with what you eat. Eating to propel muscle growth is commonly referred to as "overfeeding". Numerous studies have shown that during a period of overfeeding, you will gain more muscle and less fat if you are the lean body type. During the cutting phase to get rid of body fat to show muscle definition, it is known that fatter people tend to lose more fat and less muscle when they cut, but the leaner ones will find it harder to lose fat without losing muscle. Why does this happen? Well, it could be merely be psychological. Take for example when you have worked very hard to get your well defined six-pack abs, then you will not want to put the fat on again and obscure your hard earned abs and thus you may be reluctant to eat the amount of food necessary to gain significant muscle growth. Make sense? Another reason could be hormonal imbalances as some studies do show a correlation between low body fat and low testosterone (male hormone) levels. If your testosterone is low, it is also difficult for you to grow muscle mass. So how long does it take to see muscle growth will depend very much on your genes and many other factors besides merely exercising with the proper workouts and eating correctly.

What muscles does deadlifting train?
Deadlifts use most of the muscles in your body in some capacity, though the primary muscles involved in concentric contraction are:
and isometric contraction:
A wider foot stance will recruit the hips and legs more while a narrower stance focuses on the lower back. Deadlifts are also one of the best ways to improve grip, as long as you don't use straps and use a pronated grip with as heavy a weight as you can.
Deadlifts, along with squats (both with the barbell, of course), are widely considered to be the best exercises you can perform in terms of building mass, bone density, balance, and posture. In other words, if you're not doing these exercises, you're wasting your time in the gym.
Which body parts should be done together when lifting weights?

then just repeat that over and over again
hope this helps!
What is percent of men who can bench press double their body weight?
It is almost impossible to bench 2x your body weight. With proper diet and a lot of time at the gym you can reach about 1.8x your body weight with good genetics. Only about 10% of the population of men will do 1 1/2x there body weight and 1% will hit 2x there body weight. The less you weigh the better chance you have to achieve this goal. Supplements can help you achieve your goals but make sure you read the label. There are no short cuts to getting big and strong, only hard work!

Who holds the bench press record in 60 year old age group?
Herb Strange did it November 2009 in Las Vegas. He broke his own record at age 77 he pressed 225 lbs. google herb strange kansas city Age is no barrier to powerlifting record By JENNIFER BHARGAVA The Kansas City Star Susan PfannmullerHerb Strange, 77, broke the World Powerlifting Federation record for bench press in his age group.

Herb Strange made history by bench pressing more than 230 pounds at the 2009 World Powerlifting Federation Championships in Las Vegas.
Not bad for a 77-year-old.
He broke the record for power lifting in his age category at the championship in November.
The Leawood resident is showing no signs of slowing down, either. He's set to participate in another power lifting competition in Branson in March.
"I want to keep lifting for as long as I can," Strange said. "Why not? I'm healthy and having fun. Hopefully nothing will break on me."
Strange began lifting weights at 14. By his twenties, he was already participating in local competitions.
The activity fit well into his athletic lifestyle.
Strange played basketball at Purdue University before joining the Army, where he repaired machinery. The San Francisco native was also an active football player.
As he got older, Strange stopped lifting. Two years ago, however, his life changed forever.
After joining a gym, he met a few guys training for weight lifting competitions. They encouraged him to train as well.
Power lifting seemed a safe bet for the senior citizen.
"I didn't want to do something that would paralyze me for the rest of my life," Strange said. "I needed something that would just keep me in shape."
After all, keeping in shape is one of Strange's main priorities in life.
The retired business owner has never smoked, does not drink and eats healthy food. Vegetables, chicken and fish are the staples of his diet. He wishes more people his age - and younger - would take care of themselves.
It saddens him that sometimes he is the oldest person at the gym.
In the midst of his training, Strange decided to relocate.
"It was time to leave the California area because it's changed. It's no longer as nice as it used to be," he said. "It's filthy and there is corruption all over the place."
Since his ancestors originated from Kansas, Strange and his wife, Karen, decided to move to the Kansas City area a year ago. It was the best decision they ever made.
"It was time to come home," Strange said. "We love it here and the people are nice. If you ask for directions in San Francisco, people ignore you, but if you ask for directions in Kansas, people will take your hand and lead you there."
He soon became a regular at the Midtown Athletic Club in Overland Park, where he has made a lot of close friends and gained even more admirers.
"Herb is a fantastic role model for everyone because he dispels that unwritten belief that when you hit 60, you need to leave the gym," said Dan Meditz, a fitness director at Midtown. "He gives you motivation to continue working out. If someone can do it at 77, someone can do it at 37."
After recently winning the world championship, his star status in weight lifting circles has grown.
He's been receiving warm welcomes from weight lifting champions all over the Kansas City area.
One of those fans is Ken Ufford, a well-known power-lifting athlete with 30 years experience under his belt.
Ufford, an Overland Park police officer, has been working out with Strange once a week since the two became friends a couple months ago.
"I used to feel too old to lift but since Herb came around, I don't feel old at all," Ufford said, with a laugh. "In all my years of lifting I have never met anyone his age. I think it would be so cool to be 80 years old and still lifting."
Strange is amused by all the younger guys who are surprised by his age.
He's kind of surprised by his success himself. Plus, the amiable athlete considers every weight-lifter he meets as a friend.
"Weight lifters don't compete against each other; we compete against ourselves," he said. "I respect myself and I just do the best I can."
His good-natured attitude and friendliness are a breath of fresh air for his workout buddies and gym employees.
His impeccable work ethic impresses them as well.
Strange works out three times a week. He can currently lift 245 pounds - something most Americans would find impossible.
His friends admit: Strange is remarkable.
"He has dedication and passion, which helped him destroy the previous record," said Meditz. "You just don't get there by having a gift or being blessed. It takes a lot of hard work."
It has to be added that although Strange is impressive, his records are not over all World records.
Tom Sisk is recognized as the oldest man in the World to bench press "raw" over 300 lbs. in World competition and accomplished this Sept 2014 at age 78 with a bench of 301lbs. He had previously held this record from 2011 with a bench of 308 lbs. at age 75.
What percentage of men can benchpress twice their bodyweight?
Yes, with a little bit of determination and workouts you can bench double your weight, though that takes some time. Get into the gym. Remember, Sleep BIG, Eat BIG, LIFT BIG.
Whoever answered above is absolutely right. Almost everyone has the potential to bench their bodyweight and i would reasonably guess that almost every motivated, disciplined male can bench press twice his bodyweight eventually. There are even some prime lifters who can bench press almost 3 TIMES their own bodyweight!
Is a 245lbs max out for bench press and weighing 190lbs good or bad for a 15 year old?
no!! im 15 as well and i REP like 84kg or 185 lbs. ( 70kg bodyweight)
This depends on what you are lifting weights for and how your body is built. As a 16-year old male I participate in a personal training/conditioning workout. This workout is part of my tennis and there are no weights involved but trust me, this style of exercising will definitely help you become stronger and in all around better physical condition. The only warning I have to give you is that you need to understand how the exercises work, they use the weight of your own body to help you get stronger. you really don't need a personal trainer however i strongly recommend one so you don't hurt yourself with improper form. As for how much I can bench, I haven't checked.
it depends on whether you've been weightlifting for a long time. I've been weightlifting for about 6 months and my top bench press aged 13 was 45 kg at 65kg bodyweight. so no its not great but if you've just started lifting it's a good platform to build on.
Well, it's not "good", but it's okay. Certainly not horrible or anything.
