P.S. Wouldn't be a bad thing to let him/her eat it. Why not? It's natural for them. Don't worry about the bones either... wild dogs survive by eating wild birds and animals. They will not choke on raw bones.. just cooked ones. NEVER give them cooked bones.

What is the best brand of dog food to feed my weimaraner?
Every dog is different, so there may be a bit of trial-and-error involved. I would start with something like Canidae, Innova, or Wellness. If the dog seems to have sensitivities you can try something grain-free and not chicken based. This will typically work. I prefer a raw diet for my weim due to previous allergies, but my next choice would be a homecooked diet, followed by an all canned food diet, can/kibble diet, and a kibble diet.
