Please expand on the question more. Did you just 'drag the files' or did you burn them? You have to burn the files on to a disk. You cant just 'transfer them'.

How can you border a subtitle on an akai adx 5150x DVD player?
I have not yet found different way to do this. I have no idea if DVDs are not bordered, I've only used my Akai player for divx movies. The solution I've found is to download a program called AddXSubs. In this program you can set your subtitle as you want (color, border, position, size,...) and then burn subtitels into the movie. Works wonders :)

If you rip the MP3's to the same bitrate, they final files should be very similar in size, as the bitrate determines the bulk of the filesize for mp3's. Only the tags, that normally make up less than 2% of the final filesize, might be different.
Thast if you were comparing a disc of MP3s to a disc of WMAlossless-> MP3s. If you were converting the MP3s and WMA lossless to .wav, or making a proper audio CD by some other method, then the amount of data you can fit should be exactly the same.
Though, to be honest, I have no idea why you would rip WMAlossless-> Mp3. It would be a lot easier to just rip to MP3 in one step if they are what you want, and if you wanted both MP3s (for playing on portable players) and lossless (for playing on your computer) then other lossless formats might be a better choice (try Flac). WMA lossless is not a very good format.
