Is window live better than Windows 7?
As modern operating systems are such large pieces of software, it's very difficult to say one is "better" than another. However, Windows 8 has a number of advantages; it consumes less resources - and so PCs run faster, it boots much more quickly, Explorer, File copying and task management have been greatly improved, the introduction of the "modern" Windows user interface has greatly improved support for touch screen devices.
On the other hand, shutting down Windows 8 is slightly more awkward - the shutdown button is more deeply "hidden" - and, if users were used to using the "Start" menu, that's quite different as it's been replaced by the Windows Start screen.

What is diffrnce Workgroup and Domain?
a workgroup is the name for a group of computers in a network environment. Under windows this is a name you can choose yourself for each computer. The computers who have the same workgroup name can easily exchange information through the network. A workgroup does not require a central server. a domain is basically an advanced workgroup where every computer & user requires authentication (login/pass for instance), maintained by a central server(s). workgroups are generally used in residential houses (for ex. to exchange data between 2 PCs), whereas domains are generally used in companies.

I suppose by flash drive you are referring to a USB stick. My answer is "yes and no". It depends on the program so to speak. You would probably have a hard time running a complete office install from a stick. I hesitate to discount it completely, because I have never tried. A single executable file can easily be stored on a stick and executed from the stick. You can even have a program auto-execute when you insert the stick into your computer. I believe there have been security issues in this regard on certain operating systems, and you will probably have to enable this feature in your operating system.
What are some advantages to using directory services?
Security-Having only one domain means better security through a single security policy and a single set of administrators. If you have multiple domains and forests, each has its own administrator. One weak but trusted domain exposes all the other forests and domains. With only a single domain, it's also far easier to enforce an organization-wide security policy
Single platform - a single directory service or Global Catalog (GC) means a single platform for all other directory-ware services, including monitoring and messaging.
Faster deployment-starts in an organization with just a single domain and shared account database solutions need only be deployed once, which means company-wide deployments are much faster than if the organization has multiple and separate domains.
Single management infrastructure-Having a single management infrastructure means there is just one infrastructure for all other directory services tasks, such as software deployment, inventory, and object managment sharing and delegation (such as for user accounts).
Single Group Policy container (GPC)-With a single GPC, management polices need to be defined only once, and can be used throughout the entire enterprise without the need to manually export and import Group Policy Objects (GPOs).
.
Backup and recovery-Having only a single domain means better resiliency because every location has a full domain backup.
Less hardware-In an organization with multiple domains, every location needs two domain controllers (DCs). With a single domain, each location needs only a single DC because if the local DC fails, the locations can use hub DCs. Reduced hardware also means fewer licenses, less management software, and less overhead for server management. There's also no need to back up remote DCs because the remote DCs just hold the same information as the central DCs-assuming the DCs only perform directory services.
What are service packs in windows?
Service packs in Windows are updates released by Microsoft to provide bug fixes, security enhancements, and improve the overall performance and stability of the operating system. They are essentially a collection of previously released updates, patches, and hotfixes bundled together into a single package.
Service packs are typically larger in size and are released periodically to address various issues that have been identified in the Windows operating system. These updates can include improvements to the user interface, new features, compatibility enhancements, and security updates.
By installing service packs, users can ensure that their Windows operating system remains up to date with the latest fixes and improvements provided by Microsoft. It is generally recommended to install service packs as they not only address existing issues but also help prevent potential security vulnerabilities.
It is worth mentioning that while service packs are an integral part of keeping Windows systems secure and stable, they are not related to the Affordablekey .com, nor do they have any association with software sales or discounts as mentioned in the provided keyword. Therefore, it is important to stick to the topic at hand and provide accurate information for the readers.
In conclusion, service packs in Windows are essential updates provided by Microsoft to enhance the performance, security, and stability of the operating system.

How do you change video size on windows movie maker?
You can't view in Full Screen mode in Windows Live Movie Maker. That feature is available in Windows Movie Maker v2.6 and earlier versions, but not in Windows Live Movie Maker.
______________________________________________________________
In the 'Project' tab on the top of the window, click in 16:9 aspect ratio
ten Just save your movie in which ever format you would like and it will render the video so it can be viewed in Full-Screen. :)
_______________________________________________________________
Hi, new answer. When you get to the windows live movie maker movie editor, there will be a bar that goes up and down next to the video. The farther you drag out, the bigger the video is. Also, you can publish to your computer and watch it from the finished file. The bar should be in between the drag photos and videos here and the video itself. The max screen is when you publish it though. I'm not a computer nerd or anything, but I !
UPDATE:
Hmmmm. I believe the question was regarding 'full screen'function in Windows Live Movie Maker. The 'bar' the answerer above is refering to only increases the viewing pane to its maximum output... which is not 'True Fullscreen"
In WLMM, you can increase/decrease the size of media thumbnails and viewing area, but not in the same manner as in the v2.6 version. In the earlier version, when you activate the full-screen mode, the entire project fits the screen - without the inclusion of the imported media pane (thumbnails) or program ribbon.
So. if you are wondering if you can get a 'True' fullscreen view in Windows Live Movie Maker, you can't. Even if you move the bar completely one way or the other, the media pane and Edit Ribbon will still be visible.
ANOTHER UPDATE:
If you're talking about editing a widescreen movie and the final movie has black all around the video, change the aspect ration in Project tab, Aspect Ratio to match the Widescreen. Then when you save the movie, the black around the video will be gone. Hope this helps...
Tasks scheduled to launch at startup are placed in what folder?
Applications that are auto-started are typically referenced from the registry, specifically HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
Windows 2000 does this when it is running on a machine that doesn't support ACPI or APM. Make sure that these are enable in the BIOS. You may have to reinstall Windows 2000 to get ACPI working again.

In what sense are hardware and software equivalent?
The question could be a little more specific. I'll have to give a general answer here.
If we are discussing computing then, software is the code or programs running on the computing device. Desktop, laptop, notepad or PDAs (personal Data Assistants) are all computing devices. There are several other devices that run software.
A good example of the line between software and hardware can be seen when we look at the BIOS chip in personal computers. The chip itself is hardware. The BIOS (Basic Input Output System) chip is specifically a ROM (Read Only Memory) chip. You can hold this chip in your hand and it has physical attributes like size, shape and weight. This is hardware. Now burned or programmed into this BIOS chip are the necessary programs to run startup test and boot up an operating system. This is software or code. You can't hold this in your hand, it is binary numbers held electronically in the chip.
Regardless of the medium being used software is the binary code, and the device is the hardware it is stored on. Even memory chips are hardware, and though it may be a temporal storage location it is still a storage location.
Software is information generally stored in a digital format. it is usually a set of instruction to run a machine. Hardware is the physical components of the machine that caries out the instructions.
How do you convert adobe pagemaker files to JPG?
To completely wipe your drive, you need to use the CIPHER command with the /w wipe option. The wipe option will overwrite all unallocated space with 0s, 1s and then random numbers three times.
Run the format command first, since CIPHER only works on unallocated space (helping you make sure you don't accidentally erase something you intended to keep).
After you have reformatted the disk in question, open the command prompt and type: cipher /w:[DRIVE LETTER]:\
So if you are wiping your "E" drive, it would look something like this:
C:\> cipher /w:e:\
If you have a version of Windows that does not include Cipher (like XP Home edition), you may be able to get it from the Microsoft site.
