The Bank of England did issue £500 notes between 1725 and 1943. They remained legal tender until April 1945, although they are still valid notes which can be exchanged by the Bank of England for modern notes. Because of their rarity, they are worth considerably more than £500.

I assume that you are referring to a 5,000,000 Drachmai note from Greece (the first letter, called "delta" in greek, looks a little like an "a" in some fonts).

The Greek Drachma is no longer in use, having been supplanted by the Euro in January 2002 at a rate of 340.75 drachma to the euro.

My guess is that your note dates to 1941-1944, which was an era of hyper-inflation in Greece (and the only time a bill over 50,000 drachma was issued).

In 1944, the drachma was revalued at 50,000,000,000 to 1, and in 1953 again by 1000 to 1. That would mean that your 5,000,000 drachma bill, were it exchangable (and I seriously suspect it was long ago demonetized) would be worth 1/10,000,000 of a 2002 drachma, or about 1/3 of a billionth of a euro (this is effectively zero).

As for a value to collectors, that would largely depend on the condition of the bill and the rarity of the particular bill issue in question.

Any bank will give you one pound for it. On the collectors market, it is worth whatever somebody is prepared to pay.

The country of Yugoslavia ceased to exist in 2003 and none of the notes issued by the former Bank of Yugoslavia have been honoured since the introduction of the Novi Dinar in 1994 which was pegged to the German Mark (at the rate of 12,000,000,000,000,000 1993 Dinar = 1 Mark), which would make your 5m note worth about 1 trillionth of a US cent).

I wish I knew the answer to that one, myself. I have a number of much less than mint condition post-WWI Polish banknotes with valuations running between 1/2 and 500 marek. I suppose the thing to do would be to contact a coin dealer.

That depends quite a bit on what you have! Are your foreign(*) coins current circulation pieces? What country or countries are they from? If they're current issues (e.g. Japanese yen, British pounds/pence or EU euros/cents), your best bet would be to find someone who's travelling to one of those places and sell them at the current exchange rate. You can find rates posted on line or in the financial section of any major newspaper. Unfortunately most exchange agencies (American Express, Deak, etc.) don't want to exchange coins, only bills, so you'll have to trade them privately. If they're older coins or very mixed, you'll need to take them to a hobby shop or somewhere similar to have them looked at in person. In most cases they're probably not worth more than their face value, maybe less if they're no longer used (e.g. francs, marks, lira, etc.) but you still ought to make sure you don't have some more valuable piece mixed in. If they're common, a dealer will only pay you a small amount and will probably put them in a grab box.
