I wish I knew the answer to that one, myself. I have a number of much less than mint condition post-WWI Polish banknotes with valuations running between 1/2 and 500 marek. I suppose the thing to do would be to contact a coin dealer.

That depends quite a bit on what you have! Are your foreign(*) coins current circulation pieces? What country or countries are they from? If they're current issues (e.g. Japanese yen, British pounds/pence or EU euros/cents), your best bet would be to find someone who's travelling to one of those places and sell them at the current exchange rate. You can find rates posted on line or in the financial section of any major newspaper. Unfortunately most exchange agencies (American Express, Deak, etc.) don't want to exchange coins, only bills, so you'll have to trade them privately. If they're older coins or very mixed, you'll need to take them to a hobby shop or somewhere similar to have them looked at in person. In most cases they're probably not worth more than their face value, maybe less if they're no longer used (e.g. francs, marks, lira, etc.) but you still ought to make sure you don't have some more valuable piece mixed in. If they're common, a dealer will only pay you a small amount and will probably put them in a grab box. The city of Naples in Italy uses the Euro.

A very good condition used 1944 5 Yen note would be worth about $35, rising to about $200 in mint uncirculated condition.

The other two denominations of this issue are;

10 Yen : $2 very good used, $20-$30 uncirculated.

100 Yen : $5-10 VG, $60-75 UNC

Its value would depend on its age and condition. A used, modern example would be worth exactly 50 Canadian Dollars in any (Canadian) store. A mint condition uncirculated 1975 note would be worth $200 and older ones considerably more.

Has it been circulated? Is there anything unique about it? Whose signature is on the front? What is the serial number?

Notes printed from 1966-1972 will have "COMMONWEALTH OF AUSTRALIA" printed at the top, front and back.

1 Reichsmark = 0.52 Euro. No cash value anymore, but as a collectable they are worth a couple of dollars.

The government that issued reichmarks in the 1920s no longer exists, so there is no exchange rate for these.

The values of MPC's depends upon the condition and the denomination of the certificates.

There are twelve different 1945 1000 Yuan notes issued by the Central Bank of China, using different designs and colours. Very good used ones are worth between $0.40 and $10, rising to $5-$100 in mint uncirculated condition.

£5 weighs 0.812 grams.

£10 weighs 0.923 grams.

£20 (Elgar) weighs 1.024 grams.

£20 (Smith) weighs 1.05 grams.

£50 weighs 1.16 grams.

The Victory series of Philippine banknotes was issued in 1944 - 1945 after the Philippines was liberated from Japanese occupation. Catalog value for the 1 Peso note ranges from 75 cents in low grade up to $11.00 for as-new condition.

In some way, every banknote is rare because since the introduction of serial numbers, each one is unique. A 1919 Canadian $5 note was sold at auction in 2010 for $21,000 simply because it had the serial number '000001'. A 1929 Palestinian £50 with the serial number A000000 was sold in the same auction for $115,000.

Most banks produce un-issued sample or test notes, of which surviving examples are very rare.

A banknote museum in Munich, Germany claims to have the world's rarest banknote on display; The only known 1914 New Guinea 100 Mark note from the time when it was a German colony.

That depends on the country of issue of the $20 and the provinance on the bill. If it is a US $20 bill, it would be worth at least $20 today. If the provinance on the bill is that it comes attached with a letter staing the story behind it, and possibily a letter from Prince George stating here is the $20 I owe you, serial number XXX, then it would be of collectable interest and would probably fetch more at auction from interested collectors of Prince (King) George memorbelia, and if the letter were addressed to Wallis Simpson, then undoubtably may fetch several hunder dollors.

The Bailiwick of Jersey square One Pound coin was issued in circulation in 1981 to mark the bicentenary of the Battle of Jersey. The square pound could not be accepted by vending machines and was not issued after 1981 though it remains in common circulation today.

Assuming your bill was issued during the hyperinflationary period of the Weimar Republic, its value depends on the printing date. As of 06/2013, sammler.com, a major German collectibles site, lists these approximate retail values:

Sept. 16, 1922 - $6.50 in average condition, up to $95 if crisp and uncirculated.

Nov. 19, 1922 - $4 to $65

Dec. 2, 1922 - $1 to $4

about $15-20 us dollars, depending on condition

The King of Thailand, Bhumibol Adulyadej, appears on all Thai banknotes issued since 1946 when he ascended the throne.

It depends on the condition of the coin and if it has a "B" mint mark. I have seen the one with the B mint mark on eBay for $3.99US. The one without the B mint mark was going for about $8-$9US.

There were two variants of the New Zealand One Dollar note. The first, issued from 1967 to 1981, had the Queen facing to the left. A normal note with no peculiarities and depending on its condition could fetch anything from $5 to $100 NZD. Star notes or other peculiarities and depending on its condition could fetch anything from $10 to $14,000 NZD. The second, issued from 1981 to 1991, had the Queen facing forward. A normal note with no peculiarities and depending on its condition could fetch anything from $4 to $9 NZD. Star notes or other peculiarities and depending on its condition could fetch anything from $10 to $600 NZD. New Zealand One Dollar notes were last issued in 1991. A One Dollar coin replaced it. A reputable coin dealer will be able to give a more accurate valuation.

A New Zealand 199? Five Dollar note (Issue 5 - Governor D.T. Brash)(serial number BM), uncirculated and in absolute mint condition could fetch anything up to $20 NZD. If it has been circulated but still in good condition, it might fetch anything from $15 to $18 NZD.

A New Zealand Two Dollar note (Issue 4 [1981 - 1991] - Queen facing forward)(depending on the Chief Cashier and serial number), uncirculated and in absolute mint condition could fetch anything up to $15 NZD. If it has been circulated but still in good condition, it might fetch anything from $5 to $7 NZD.

New Zealand Two Dollar notes were last issued in 1991. A Two Dollar coin replaced them.

The New Zealand Ten Dollar note featuring Queen Elizabeth II looking to the left on the obverse and a Kea on the reverse, Chief Cashier H R Hardie, serial 30B, would have been issued in 1980 or 1981.

The value of an old South African 5 rand will depend on how much someone is willing to pay. There are some for sale on sites such as eBay ranging from $2.00 to as much as $75.00 USD.
