You've been taking 50mg of zoloft for about a year and you smoked pot twice for the first time yesterday and now you feel depressed is this normal what can you do?

Keep taking the Zoloft as prescribed. Stop the non-prescription pot. Drink plenty of water, eat a balanced diet and do moderate exercise. The effects of the pot will eventually be gone and you should feel yourself in several days. If you tend to have problems with depression, pot and alcohol are not your friends. Leave them alone!

Will Zoloft help palpitations due to anxiety?

Seeming Zoloft's side effects will vary from each person, zoloft may actually increase your heart rate when you first start taking it, although zoloft is for depression, anxiety may decrease when depression does, although if you are having anxiety attacks anti-anxiety medication such as Valium would be more appropriate, also if you want to slow your heart rate breathe in through your nose and out through your mouth is a common trick or doing meditation and looking at what is causing the anxiety and alleviating that problem as well as using medication should help anxiety because zoloft is not specifically for anxiety although may still help.

Can you take a 5 hour energy shot while taking zoloft?

I have and it did not affect me at all. I needed the energy regardless of my mood disorder or whatever you want to call it. It does say to consult a doctor if you're on medications before taking 5 hr energy but I did it anyway a few times, and i was fine. Drink lots of water to keep your body temperature moderate and you won't get flush and you will maintain a peaceful mind.

Is zoloft addicting?

It has worked for me for quite a long time. Before I took it I would cry over almost anything and sometimes have an anger within myself that I knew it was there, but didn't allow it to surface. I was so depressed. With it I find I am better able to deal with stuff that happens. I can now cope more easily like the average person.

What are the symptoms of Zoloft withdrawal...... I'm dying here?

from www.depression.about.com-- "When one stops Zoloft too rapidly a withdrawal syndrome may develop. Among the symptoms that may be experienced are nausea, tremors, lightheadedness, muscle pains, weakness, insomnia, and anxiety. The withdrawal symptoms usually last 1-2 weeks but in some instances they may gradually decrease over a period as long as a month. It is generally recommended that one taper off this medication gradually under a doctor's supervision. Check with your own personal physician for specific instructions."

Are all the pills in the pack identical?

Not to my knowledge. I believe each pill contains a different level of synthetic progesterone and estrogen to speficially control the way your body reacts to the hormones - hence the lay out of the pill packs. Each pill is meant to be taken around the same time, each day, in order. So skipping around and taking a Saturday pill on Monday isn't a good idea. However, if you lost a pill, it might be better for you to take the pill intended for the next day and continue from that day as you would normally rather than miss a day completely.

It depends on the pill brand. Yaz, Tricyclen, Estrostep, and Ortho-Novum 7/7/7 are all examples of pills with non-identical pills; some of these have as many as four different formulations in the same pack, counting the placebos. Check the instruction book that comes with each pack for more information.

Ive been on the pill for nearly 6 years now. I have used Microgynon (cant remember how to spell it) Dianete and Cilest and with all these the pills are identical and I havent yet heard of a pill where they are different, so if u accidentally take a different day there is nothing to worry about.

Any pills with 'tri' in the name are different. They have different doses every week. These are also the only pills that I have heard that you cannot take continuously to intentionally skip a period.

Can Zoloft be taken at 25 mg with good results?

Hello,My daughter is 12yrs.old and has been dianosed with bi-poler,manic deppretion and im not a DR. but she has been taking zoloft 25mg. for about 6 mounths maybe a short time more and she is doing verry well i guess it depends on your age, weight, also what the doctor said is your dianouses. i hoped this help you.

----------------

As mentioned above, dosing does not closely correlate with efficacy without a comprehensive profile of the patient, including diagnosis, age, weight, and idiosyncratic physiology (which can often only be inferred from medicinal trial and error). Importantly, some patients do respond profoundly to small dosages, though an acclimation period of up to 2-3 months at a given dosage may be required before true effects can be discerned.

Why can't you take antidepressants with Garcinia Cambogia?

Because Garcinia Cambogia increases levels of Serotonin in the brain. SSRI antidepressants do the same thing, so you could potentially run into a serious health condition called Serotonin Syndrome. It's not a good idea. If you're on a non-SSRI though, you might be able to take them both together without any problems. You should always consult your doctor, but I'm not sure a regular dr. would know much about Garcinia.

How can a person stop taking zoloft without side effects?

you can if you slowly come off of it. your body gets used to having it and if you just stop then you will get the same side effects as going on the medication. i believe the more you take the worse it is. i would suggest cutting down by 25mg to 50mg every 2 weeks that should cut down on any side effects and give your body time to adjust.
