You may want to ask your doctor this question but nowhere have I read or been told that depression/anxiety meds and diet pills decrease the effectiveness of the depo shot. If you told your doctor you were taking those meds, I am sure he/she wouldn't have suggested the depo shot if it was known effectiveness would decrease. That is why it is good to get contraceptives from a doctor because they know your medical history and know exactly what is best for you.

I am a zoloft user i am 20 but if you go to your doctor and tell her your problems they will definitly put you on a low dosage like 20mg

Zoloft is a common antidepressant belonging to a class of drugs known as SSRIs. (Selective Serotonin Reuptake Inhibitors). Although very commonly prescribed, they have been liked to an increase in suicidal thoughts in young people. Zolfoft along with the other SSRIs sould be monitored by health care professionals particularly when prescibed to adolescents.

I'm fifteen and I'm on the generic of Zoloft, which is Sertraline. I take started with 100 mg, went up to 200 mg at one point, and am now at 150 mg. It hasn't really affected me. At one point I was having trouble with overheating, which we think was from a sleep aid. I do have some issues with controlling my temperature nowadays, but it's not bad enough to make me alter my medication intake. Hopefully this helps.

I'm 17 and I've had some very bad experiences with zoloft. I've been on it for about seven months. For most of that time (on 50 and 100mg), I was fine. However, when I went from 100 to 75mg (due to symptoms of hypomania), I became suicidal on and off for about two weeks. However, this problem seems to have stopped now that I'm back on 50mg. These thoughts were unusual for me, although there is some chance that the suicide of a close friend could have led my own depression to become more severe. I would say give it a shot. Most people do not have suicidal thoughts while on it. And if you do, tell your doctor immediately and they can fix it very quickly. As long as you are not already suicidal and impulsive, I would give it a chance. If there is an unusual danger for you, your doctor will probably see it. They are normally pretty smart that way, after all, it is their job.

If you have a prescription for Zoloft, and your job doesn't require you not to be on certain medications or have certain health conditions, there shouldn't be a problem. Be upfront and honest with the legitimate medications you are legitimately taking, going in.

Zoloft is the product trade name of sertraline chemical compound.

Doctors in the US prescribe chemical compounds, so your prescription will read "sertraline".

To the contrary, doctors in the EU prescribe products, so your prescription will read "zoloft".

If you have no prescription and you ask your pharmacist just "sertraline" they may give you Zoloft (original drug, from the maker who initially hold the patent) or other other product that contain the same drug (called 'generics').

If you can afford the Zoloft (maker: Phizer) prefer it from generics. Although it is always the same drug, other inactive compounds of the drug may not be the same, so distribution in the body may not be exactly the same, affecting efficacy or clearout time.

First, you can't just stop taking Zoloft--if you've taken it for more than a month or so, you'll have to slowly decrease your dose until it is 10mg or so and then stop (this should take several weeks.) Then you're ready to start Lexapro (no cool off period in between is necessary.) Note: I am not a physician but I know that if your doctor recommended changing from Zoloft to Lexapro s/he would have already gone over this--be careful--Zoloft has a profound effect on your brain chemistry, make sure your doctor is in agreement on this. NO don't mix adderall with ANY DOWNER until your comming down. i know from personal experience taking seroquel and adderall within an hour or 2 of each other. it almost killed me my heat was 140 beats per minture and pounding so hard you could hear it like a foot away. i have mixed adderall with Valium seroquel flexeril oxycodone and lot more and it screwed me everytime so everyone please learn from this and don't mix it with a downer till your comming down off it. its extreamly dangerous.

yeah i did it for a few days. the side effects bothered me too much i could not stand it so i got off of it. It gave me RLS, ADHD while i was on it. and it was the worse to come off of. I took the two together for a couple months or so but I had to quit taking the Abilify as I lost the ability to make simple conversation. I couldn't talk to loved ones or friends. I sat there basically brain-dead. I stopped taking the Abilify but kept taking the Seroquel and the brain inactivity was no longer a problem.

Wellbutrin (bupropion, Zyban) lowers your seizure threshold, and it's seizure-inducing effects are dose dependent. It can cause a seizure which can cause permanent brain damage or death. The time-release forms contain several times the dose of the non-time release form. They especially should not be chewed or crushed.

They often do. However some people when depressed don't feel like eating and lose weight, as their mood improves while taking antidepressants their appetite returns they eat more and gain weight. Did the antidepressants make them gain weight, or did the antidepressants just allow them to eat normally and regain their normal weight (which some people dislike).
