I take 50mg Zoloft and 37.5 of Wellbutrin together every morning. It doesnt seem to have any additional side effects taking them at the same time.

There are no direct physical dangers from mixing Zoloft and Ecstasy (MDMA). Zoloft (or to use its chemical name, Sertraline) is an SSRI (selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors), the same class of anti-depressants as Prozac (Flouxetine), Celexa(Citalopram Hydrobromide), Luvox (Fluvoxamine), and Paxil (Paroxetine). These chemicals will actually reduce or even completely eliminate the effects of Ecstasy when the two are taken together. Also Celexa in particular is sometimes used to treat cocaine-dependency and may reduce cocaine effects and craving.

Yes! I take Prozak in the morning and seroquel at night. I was suffering from PTSD and couldn't sleep. I was also depressed so I was taking Prozak. And it perked me right up. I feel so "normal" again...back to the ole me!! :) I've lost 30 lbs and got a job promotion, all because I wasn't "tripping out" on my past anymore.... LOL!!

That is not a typical reaction or side effect of this medication. However, if you have other condtions such as diabetes or peri-menopause these may need to be considered. Also, are you being treated for depression alone or in concert with anxiety disorder. If this has happened more than once since you started the medication, see your doctor. Be sure to describe differences in stress levels, sleep and diet around this same time.

because they are both SSRI's, the two combined, especially at high doses could result in serotonin syndrome.

I took it for a week unprescribed (my brother is bi-polar and takes it). He had major positive reactions using it, not just a better temper but also he concentrated better he was more outgoing he was more goal oriented and focused.

When he was first diagnosed, I was questioned whether or not i had too, as I was having similar symptoms. So when he got his prescription, I decided to try his for a week.

I never noticed a difference when taking it but when i went off it (a week later) I had a seizure, and more noticeable symptoms...I felt angry all the time, always stressed out, and extremely irritated, it didnt matter what kind of conversation I had with someone it felt like any type of talking sounded like whining and all i wanted to do was chuck something at them and scream to shut up lol.

I ended up telling my doctor that I tried my brothers medicine and have been having seizures and they put me on lamictal. All from that one little experiment, I have to take a pill for the rest of my life...Im sure everyone is different but I wouldnt recommend trying it without a doctors orders lol.

Not sure about Buspar, but you can take Zoloft and Adivant together as long as it is prescribed that way. Usually your Dr will have you on Zoloft daily and Adivant as needed.

My experience with Wellbutrin was yes, it helped me lose weight that I had gained on other anti-depressants. I had been taking EFFEXOR for a long time and kept gaining weight. I was switched to Celexa and told that it shouldn't make me gain weight. I continued to gain weight on the Celexa. I also had sexual side effects. The doctor switched me to Wellbutrin. I had gained 20 lbs. since starting SSRI's. Once I stopped taking those and switched to Wellbutrin, I lost 10 lbs. easily. The other 10 I had to work at to take off, but it came off! On the SSRI's it seemed like no matter what I did to lose weight it wouldn't work. Hope this helps!

I am interested in finding out the same info. I just started taking Straterra for concentration and inability to focus on any projects. I take 50 mg of zoloft in the morning and 25 around three I started taking 40 mg of straterra but it kept me up the entire night. I now am on 25 mg in the morning I am on day three and experience alot of tingling in the back of my head and legs. I also get alot of goose bumps like as if a cool draft came over me does anyone have any response?

According to my pharmacist, it is safe. But I still plan to check with my doctor since the leaflet mentions the dosage of Strattera might need to be adjusted with the addition of Prozac and other like medications.

Zoloft is prescribed to help people who have anxiety, depression and a few other mental issues. It cannot make a person high.

The Gabapentin will just make the klonopins slightly stronger

Allegra and Dayquil have none of the same active ingredients, and as such, they can both be taken simutaneously with little to no side effects, though like usual, they can not be taken in excess.

You should check with your doctor regarding any medical issues.

i am currently taking 200 mgs of wellbutrin and it works to a point.but somedays i get anxiety and i feel unfocused. i recently added l-theanine and it works perfectly.i have great focus.relieves anxiety,and i concentrate better than ever.also zero side effects from this fabulous supplement. jb

Usually in the morning as it can cause sleep disturbed by dreams if taken at bedtime. It can also cause indigestion which is more likely if it is in the stomach at night. Delayed orgasm is a common side effect, which may be overcome by having sex just before the next dose is due, when blood level is lowest.

i wouldn't worry too much about weaning off of Prozac...
it's acclimating to effexor (and weaning off of it) that's tough.

that said, effexor worked wonderfully for me, pulling me out of a very deep hole.

The two are not chemically related and amphetamines work primarily on nerve receptors that are naturally triggered by adrenaline/ephinephrine (two names for the same chemical) while Wellbutrin works mainly on a neurotransmitter called Dopamine.

That is a simple answer, in truth psychopharmacology is much more complex. You should always consult your physician or a psychiatrist before taking either.

No it does not. Seroquel is an atypical antipsychotic which is used for bipolar disorder and psychosis and other conditions. It has no relation to MAO B inhibitors

Probably, but why take these two together?

In other words, on my Ritalin information sheet, it says not to take zoloft (that's sertraline, right?) with it. Yet, my doctor prescribed it and apparently, doctors (generally) seem to love to prescribe zoloft with stimulants. But many of us have found that zoloft cancels the uplifting effects (for example, in the case of Ritalin with zoloft).

I have never tried zoloft with Provigil, which is not a stimulant per se. Per my experience, I can't see why you would need an anti-depressant with Provigil, which for me, was very mood uplifting. But that's me, and I am more in the anxiety and ADD/HD category than depression.

Upshot: I will never try zoloft again, period!. But if you really love zoloft, maybe try the combo after reading the contraindications first, and/or asking a psy-doctor or neurologist.
