Van Morrison is dead. Does it matter? I think he was bi if it really does.
You're half correct. Van Morrison is not dead. But I agree, it doesn't matter. His hit song "Domino" has some lyrics that kind of make you wonder, though.
You weren't thinking of Jim Morrison were you? Jim is dead. (Unless you're one of those people who believe he faked his death). :]
It is quite easy to tell if you have perfect pitch by having any musical instrument, such as a piano, clarinet or an electronic keyboard, if you know that the pitch of the notes produced by the instrument are correct, and not out of tune. Simply hum or sing any note, and try to guess what the note is, eg D. Then play a D on the instrument; if the pitch is the same, you have perfect pitch. Try other pitches by singing or humming, play the note you are singing and see if you've guessed the pitch correctly. If you are still guessing correctly, you have perfect pitch, and if you don't guess correctly you haven't.
If you strike out more batters than Nolan Ryan
I believe he owns a house in his hometown of Belfast, in the Orby area of East Belfast. He lives in this house when he comes to Northern Ireland to visit family but when not in Northern Ireland I think he owns a house somewhere in Los Angeles.
Van Morrison didn't record "Ain't No Sunshine When She's Gone". Bill Withers did in 1971.
Leaves of gold Red and brown Glories past now lie down Leaving branches bare to weep and moan Watching laughing water turn to stone Vacant skies Restless wind Silent birds Hear within Echoes from a summer long since long since gone Whispers of a call to fly have come Clouds of mourning Clouds of tears Clouds of anger of fears Sun and moon stare wistfully remembering the passing year the passing~ passing year Autumn lies down to rest Having shared all her best Comes another soul and comforter Autumn gives her hand to winter Autumn gives her hand to winter....
Van Morrison is an individual singer, not the name of a group
No, singer Adele wrote it. You might be confused with "Make You Feel My Love", in which Bob D. wrote, and singer Adele covered it on her first album.
No, still alive well and very successful!
Jim Morrison, the singer with the Doors did famously die and is buried in Paris.
They were not related but shared a bill in the 60's in USA, before the Doors made it big
'Stranded' from Van Morrison's 2005 album 'Magic Time' features himself playing the alto sax on that track.
Van Morrisson does not appear to have recorded any duets with Phil Collins, but Morrisson has performed duets with many others, such as John Lee Hooker, Ray Charles, and Shane MacGowan etc.
Although Van Morrisson and Phil Collins both became members of the Songwriters Hall of Fame at the same time, i.e. in 2003, and they have each performed many duets, none, it would seem, have been with each other.
INTERESTING COINCIDENCE
In 1970 Van Morrisson wrote 'Domino', a tribute to singer Fats Domino. (It had the refrain 'Oh oh Domino')
In 1986, Phil Collins' group Genesis also wrote a song called 'Domino' (The Last Domino)' for their album 'Invisible Touch', but this song has the refrain 'You've got to go Domino' and is quite a different song to Van Morrisson's 'Domino.'
We are all related to each other so most certainly yes! But no hes not....
Most certainly not.
