Hello, the trans from a Olds is a BOP trans I think that stands for Buick Olds Pontiac and the vega's is a Chevy design they may have a different bolt pattern, I know that really doesn't answer your question but it brought up another why? I think the V8 would eat that trans up, I'm putting in a V8 in a Vega and they do not recomend that swap so I think that would go for the Olds too. you can use a trans adaptor (TCI part #230000) to go for B-O-P engine and use a Chevy trans, but I would pick another trans, vega trans are weak. Here is the H body site has a lot of info on swaps (for vega's) but should give you some info http://h-body.org/library/hbodyfaq/index.HTML good luck
Yes but the bolt patter is different so you will have to find an adaptor. Read below
The power of the engine of the Oldsmobile super 88 automatic 1954 is 170 horsepower. The maximum speed is 112 mph.
120 hp is the power of the Oldsmobile delta 88 automatic 1974 engine and its maximum speed is 93 mph.
Yes, but you have to remove the automatic transmission housing, and you have to replace the Torque Converter with a standard transmission clutch that matches the type of transmission with which you are mating the engine.
Depends on what Oldsmobile model you're referring to, engine size, transmission, etc...
That would be a 4L80E automatic transmission.
No
wich one radiator, engine or transmission (manual or automatic)... wich one radiator, engine or transmission (manual or automatic)...
No
Standard cab with a 4 cylinder engine and automatic transmission is rated at 5600#. Standard cab with a 4.3 V6 engine and automatic transmission is rated at 6000#. Extended cab with 4.3 V6 engine and automatic transmission is rated at 5500#.
The question is if the transmission is a standard or an automatic, if it is a standard then the transmission is located directly behind the bell housing which is bolted onto the rear of the engine, if it is an automatic then the transmission is bolted directly to the rear of the engine
