With a balancer puller tool. With a balancer puller tool.
Harmonica is an instrument that is played with the mouth. A HARMONIC balancer on an engine is removed with a tool commonly referred to as a hormonic balancer puller.
The flywheel has to be held in place by a holding tool, Remove the mounting bolt, then use a balancer remover to pull the harmonic balancer.
assuming the crank is out, cool it in the freezer and warm the balancer ,the balancer should slip on. be careful ! I have not done this with a crank and balancer, but it works well in other applications. ie.sleeves in blocks.
Yes.
You can buy an installation tool at most auto parts stores.
Its refered to as a harmonic balancer, and you have to have a special tool to remove it called (surprisingly) a harmonic balancer removal tool. The installation tool is a good heavy hammer and a block of wood. If you dont have access to this special puller, you can (and likely will) damage the harmonic balancer, so it would be best in that instance to take it to your local mechanic and ask him to take pull it off for you.
Hidden behind the harmonic balancer. You will need a puller to remove the balancer. It will be black, a couple of inches long, with a wire coming out of it. The frame of it is usually aluminum, and adjustable. You will need an alignment tool to adjust the sensor.
IT requires a special tool, a three jaw puller.
you should use a tool called a harmonic balance puller. the balancer came off in two pieces and the second piece that's still on the crank shaft won't come off
Works best with a air impact tool. There is room.
Behind the harmonic balancer. You will need to remove the right front tire, remove the access panel to the engine (through the wheel well), remove engine belt, remove harmonic balancer & pulley with a puller. Remove & replace crank sensor, align sensor with an alignment tool, replace balancer with an installer tool.. BE VERY careful with the balancer, the backside of it has a hall effect style blades. bending these blades will junk the balancer.
