You can never get exact torque, but with a little practice you can come close.

first, set your gun on it's min setting and you compressor on max rated for that gun. tighten a bolt, removing the gun the moment it starts to slip. Use a torque wrench to verify the torque on the bolt.

second, do this for the next two setting on your gun. and mark down all values.

Third, reduce the air pressure on your compressor by 10psi and repeat the steps above, always writing down the values.

four, reduce your air pressure by another 10 psi and repeat.

Eventually you will have a chart of approximate torque delivery.

Five, repeat all steps above to verify consistency.

The key is two fold,

always remove the gun at the same time for all settings.

always make sure you gun is getting the same air pressure for each stage selected

Turn down the air pressure to 30 psi to start and finish with a manual torque wrench. You can buy a very expensive torque head if you're doing production work but don't trust any torque wrench without the calibrator. That's "old school"-nowadays it's 1/4 turn after bolt is set for cylinder heads. Loosen bolts evenly 1/4 turn before cracking anything loose or the new problems will talk you out of the job

Why shouldn't an impact wrench be used in place of a torque wrench?

An Impact wrench is for a totally different use. A torque wrench will let the user know when a certain torque has been achieved in tightening. The impact wrench is for removing very tough nuts under impact of a hammer.

What is different between torque wrench and impact wrench?

There's a world of difference. A torque wrench is a hand tool used to tighten fasteners to a preset torque specification. An impact wrench is a power tool which uses power actuated hammers to tighten a fastener for high torque applications.

How many volts of power you need to take a lug nut that been but on by a air gun?

Volts of power? Your question makes no sense. To remove a lug nut use an air impact wrench or a hand wrench and just take it off. Volts has nothing to do with it even if you were using an electric air impact wrench. On an electric air wrench the power of the wrench is measured in torque not volts.

Impact wrench 250 pounds max torque won't budge Harm Balancer Bolt Any suggestions?

Borrow a bigger impact wrench, something with at least 500 ft lbs of torque.

What is the difference between torque wrench and socket wrench?

The socket wrench is one among the system of wrenches that departs the wrench handle from the wrench that engages the fastener. Whereas, the torque wrench are the torque indicating socket wrench handle. When it is used properly, that could help you calculate the torque amount while fastening using the wrench. It also limits the amount of torque which is applied on material.

Who was the inventor of the torque wrench?

A torque wrench was invented by Conrad Bahr in 1918 .

What type of torque wrench has a rod that moves right or left as torque is applied?

If you add an exton to your torque wrench does it change the torque?

as long as your extension is 90 degrees from the handle it will not affect your torque wrench. if you use a super long torque wrench you may lose a little torque in the extension it self but should not affect torque. an extension affecting the wrench in lenght like a crows foot will affect torque as long as your extension is 90 degrees from the handle it will not affect your torque wrench. if you use a super long torque wrench you may lose a little torque in the extension it self but should not affect torque. an extension affecting the wrench in lenght like a crows foot will affect torque
