Please don't remove the battery because there must be a connection problem in the wire of the car or Jeep or 4WD.Because I have a jeep Cherokee 1996 classics in that there was a connection problem of the AC wire so check your car out on computer. And please reply which car you have.
Try disconnecting the battery for about 10 minutes or have vehicle scanned to determine the problem and have codes cleared. Pull the codes and fix the problem, that will shut the light off.
Bad idea--if you put the battery back in next time it will supposedly turn on? No.
disconnect positive battery cable for five minutes.
You can either fix the problem or disconnect the battery and re connect it
You don't want to do that. If your cars check engine light is on, you need to get it examined by a mechanic. Also, if you disconnect any battery terminal, your engine will not start or power any electronics while it is running.
On many cars, disconnecting the battery will not stop the engine because the alternator is providing power to the ignition system. If the ignition circuit is locked in the 'on' position, the only way to shut the engine off is to pull the wire going from the coil to the distributor cap, or to pull the spark plug wires. Do not attempt to disconnect the fuel line, as it may cause a fire.
the problem is in your high beam switch. there is a short in it and it needs to be replaced
my radio kept cycling for some reason drained my battery. i pulled the fuse and haven't had a radio or clock since, but my battery is fine.
Check engine light? Remove the battery ground terminal for a few seconds. If you still have the problem, the light will probably come back on. I have never had that light come on except on start up which is normal.
The check engine light can be reset by disconnecting the battery for a few minutes. If it comes on again you should get the codes read with a OBDII reader. Autozone or another parts supply chain will usually do it for free. The codes are stored on board the PCM and will tell you where your vehicle is having a problem. If the check engine light ever flashes then it is a do not drive situation. www.trailvoy.com All the answers for your trailblazer and more!
You will have to disconnect the battery for 10 seconds or more to reset the computer, then reconnect the battery and check if the light is off and remains off , if the light comes back on I would take to mechanic and have it scanned for trouble codes.
You can try disconnecting the battery negative cable for 5 minutes. If that does not work then you will have to use a scan tool to reset the light. Know that if you do not repair the problem that caused the light to come on, it will just come right back on.
