There are different figures for the top five religions in Europe, as there are different resources. The top three are indisputable: Christianity, Islam, and Judaism. The five religious denominations in Europe are such:
Judaism has been decreasing in size over Europe since the Middle Ages, as it has all over the world. Currently, France holds the largest Jewish population in Europe, representing 1% of the French population.
Islam is the one of the fastest growing religions in Europe, and the world. However, Europe has a different type of Islam. It's known as Euro-Islam, and is a Europeanized version of the religion. It is basically a less strict religion and has more equality between genders. Most Muslims in Europe reside in Southeastern Europe in countries such as Turkey, Albania, and Kosovo. However, non-Euro-Islam is a controversy in Europe and there are currently big fights in the continent (as in the US for example) against "hardcore Muslims" (basically Muslims who follow the more strict version of the religion, that hails from the Middle East). There are some laws that beat down Islam, for example, in France, women cannot wear a hijab, burqa, etc. in public.
