What cars were made during World War 2?

Cars were made for all the military sevices, army, navy, coast guard, and others. Some cars were sold to Doctors, nurces, and other persons considered necessary to protect the public. Lots of cars were put in storage, and production was very small as most auto plants were converted to producing war materials. But cars were produced and sold in very limited numbers. Some particular models were not produced at all. I know the Chrysler Corporation built some cars during WW2 that were sold to civilians on a must need basis, but not sure about any other manufacture.

How do you remove the ECM from a 1989 Chevy K1500 Scottsdale 4X4 Pickup?

FIRST, disconnect your battery. Then remove the glove box (4 small bolts/screws, two on each side). The ECM will be behind the glove box on the right side (it's the shiny metal box approximately 6"Long x 4"Wide x 1.5" Thick). Slide/pull it carefully to the left (towards you). You may have to pull open the two clips on the left side of it a little to get it loose (very easy to do by hand with you fingers). When you have moved it to the left and have enough room, disconnect the two wire connectors right in front of it. Move the connectors out of the way and pull the ECM out. Very simple job. To remove the chips from inside the ECM all you have to do is remove the two small screws that are holding a small plate on top of it. They are directly under that plate. I used a flathead screwdriver to CAREFULLYpry on each side of the chips evenly to pull them out. Again, very simple.

Where does vacuum line connect from 400 turbo to 400 small block chevy?

Well, the tranny modulater, requires manifold vaccuum, to make the trans shift. So, a runner on the intake, or the carb BASE PLATE. Now, if you have a vaccuum line, you probably have a TH350. If the oil pan on it is shaped like an square, with a notch cut out of one of the corners, it is a TH350. 400's, do not require vaccuum.

What pushes the valves in an engine open?

The cams on the camshaft.

NEW ANSWER : Yes it is the camshaft, But it is the LOBES on it that makes the valves open and shut. Not the Cams that's on it, No such thing.

Response to new answer: look up cam in a dictionary or on wikipedia. It's an irregular fitting on a camshaft that converts rotational motion to reciprocating motion. That said, the term "cam" is interchangeable with "lobe".
