You are asking for an opinion. Here is mine: The word abuse has almost become a buzz word to encompass just about anything. I do not believe any adult should condone, encourage, or allow underage children to smoke, and I think an adult who does so is using extremely poor judgement, but whether it is abuse is debatable. However, an adult who allows a child to smoke is teaching the child that it is okay to break the law. That's not a good thing to be teaching kids. Also, that adult is allowing the child to start what could be a life-long nasty, smelly habit that could lead to health problems in the future. Adults should really be smarter than to be teaching chldren to break the law and start bad habits that they are in no way old enough to make a rational, wise decisions about. I'm a smoker who started the habit at a young age. I know what I'm talking about. To any adults who are allowing children to smoke, I would suggest that you stop allowing it NOW.
