I am an over the road truck driver and the only places I could get nonFSC's was NC, SC, VA and TN. I have been through them lately and they are all FSC now. Today is 12/08/09

For Americans, the best I have found for Non-FSC is TobaccoTrain . . . for European blends, I was getting Marlboros out of Switzerland.

a pack of Newport cigarettes currently costs $12 to $13. If you buy them from one of the big chain drugstores (like Duane Reade or CVS) it's slightly cheaper; between $11 and $12.

I'm not gonna judge you but you should really not smoke.....but for the answer as many as you want or can hide.

I dipped for years and just quit 2 months ago. You get just as much as you would from a cigarette. Dip is just as addictive as cigarettes and just as bad for you. When they say that it is an alternative to cigarettes they don't mean it's a safe alternative. It's kind of like "A sharp stick in the eye is an alternative to one in your ear." Neither are desirable or good for you.

First of all congrats on quitting! It is way harder to stop dipping than it is to stop smoking because there is way more nicotine in dip than in cigarettes. Cigs burn and dip is put in your mouth. They say that there is 9mg of nicotine in cigs and 8mg of that it burnt and 1 mg is actually ingested. But in dip its completely different because it doesn't burn and it isn't inhaled, it goes through the blood stream. And it also depends on how big of a pinch it is also, a small pinch is probably equivalent to a cig before you burn it, the bigger the pinch the more nicotine.

I smoked for about 3 years and quit about 1 year ago. Just walking around I notice that I no longer have to stop and catch my breath, and have an easier time jogging and walking up stairs. Also my mind feels much clearer and my reaction time seems to have sped up. I suggest quitting smoking immediately; you will feel much better after the withdrawal symptoms subside. Also: You will not have such cold feet all the time. You will not be coughing all the time. You will not smell bad to non-smokers (Or you may, if you do not wash, but you will not smell of smoke!) Smoking also reduces the senses of taste and smell.

As little as one cigarette can cause emphysema or cancer there is no safe number of cigarettes since any number will increase the risk of respiratory problems and the more smoked the higher the chance.

Everyone has heard the stories about someones granny who smoked 30 cigarettes per day and lived until she was 100. She was obviously very lucky and defied the odds. What you don't hear of are the thousands of people who died very young after moderate smoking or lived to a reasonable age but couldn't do anything other than sit in a chair all day due to respiratory problems

Consider: The USA attempted to ban alcohol at the beginning of the 20Th century. All this achieved was to drive the alcohol business underground and into the hands of criminals (the Mafia). Cocaine, heroin, cannabis, (to mention a few) are currently banned in most countries, but their use continues. Current opinion is that cocaine use in the UK is at its highest since records began, and yet is has been "banned" for decades. (since about 1909?)

What is needed is to make people not want to smoke!
