What is the difference between a Croat and a Croatian or a Serb and a Serbian?
Croat, Serb, and Bosniak are ethnoreligious terms. A Croat is a Catholic Christian Yugoslav person or their children (if their descendants are not Catholics themselves). A Serb is an Orthodox Christian Yugoslav person or their children (if their descendants are not Orthodox themselves). A Bosniak is a Muslim Yugoslav person or their children (if their descendants are not Muslims themselves).
Conversely, Croatian, Serbian, and Bosnian are national terms that apply to citizenship. A Croatian is a citizen of the Republic of Croatia, a Serbian is a citizen of the Republic of Serbia, and a Bosnian is a citizen of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
As a result, you can have Croatian Serbs, who are ethnic Serbs who are citizens of Croatia, or Bosnian Croats, who are ethnic Croats who are citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina, or Serbian Bosniaks, who are ethnic Bosniaks who are citizens of Serbia. Of course, the largest populations (pluralities or majorities) line up between the national and ethnoreligious terms, e.g. Croatian Croats, Serbian Serbs, and Bosnian Bosniaks.

No. Same-sex marriage is prohibited by Croatian law. However, in July 2014, the Croatian parliament legalized same-sex "life partnerships" which have all the same rights and responsibilities as marriage, with the exception of adoption rights.
Between 2003 and 2014, same-sex partners were required to live together for a minimum of three years in order to receive the same rights which are now available immediately upon completing a ceremony in the town council.
What is the education like in Croatia?
Well, we have everything as other countries but our educational system is similar to German/Austrian one as a more than one century long influence on our country.
We have 8 grades of elementary school (usually you start with 7 and finish with 14 years), following Middle school (highschool) 4 grades. Here we have high schools for some profession like Technical school, Catering school.... and high schools (also known as "gymnasiums" as in GErmany etc..) are just here to prepare students for college.
I went and graduated in high school. We had around 15 subjects every year following:
Croatian, Foreign language (English, German, French...), Math, Physichs, Chemistry, BIology, Sociology, PI, Art, Music, Ethics/Religion, Latin, INformatics, Logic, Psychology, History, Geography...
New thing is final matura exam which have to pass all those who want to go to college after high school graduation. Croatian, Math and Foreign language are standard and everyone must take them, and optional are others. For example, I enrolled on Faculty of Architecture - School of Design (University of Zagreb) but I had to write Art beside those three.
And the thing with college is as same as in EU.
