Just so you know, and this is what confuses ALOT of patients....the informed consent DOES NOT have to itemize any possible complications or side effects of the planned procedure!!!

Mainly it was because when they were handing out potions, medicines, if the patient had a medical reaction to the medicine they could have a chance of catching an illness or at the worst, death. You need to have patience understanding of others. You need to see where they are coming from, and figure out ways to help them with their lives. If they are seriously considering life threatening activities, you need to cajole them that they are worthy and that people care and love for them. They need care, support and love. They are very delicate.

Some doctors mistake a certain problem for another. Example: Heart disease for breast cancer. They also might proscribe the wrong medication. They might hive you to much of a medication. The less experienced make the most mistakes, so do the old doctors. The beginning doctors don't know what they are doing. The old doctors might forget how to do something or have trouble seeing. It really depends. If you don't trust your doctor ask for a different one or do a background check on them to find out details about them.

Speech pathologists generally wear business casual to work. Whether they're working with children or adults they are always on their feet, so high heels are not recommended. I think an average outfit that an SLP would wear would be black or khaki pants, a blouse, and flats. No skirts or pant suits. If a SLP is working in a school then their dress code my be a little more lax, i.e., jeans, not-so-fancy shirts. If they are working in the medical setting black pants may be more in the norm as well as nicer tops. Nice necklaces or earrings might also not be recommended as I've heard that children or people with cognitive disabilities may grab at the SLP, which are two populations that SLP's work with. And again this all depends on what the dress code of the actual setting they are working in. Hope that helps!
