What are wire strippers used for?
A simple manual wire stripper is a pair of opposing blades much like scissors or wire cutters. The addition of a center notch makes it easier to cut the insulation without cutting the wire. This type of wire stripper is used by rotating it around the insulation while applying pressure in order to make a cut around the insulation. Since the insulation is not bonded to the wire, it then pulls easily off the end. This is the most versatile type of wire stripper.
Another type of manual wire stripper is very similar to the simple design previously mentioned, except this type has several notches of varying size. This allows the user to match the notch size to the wire size, thereby eliminating the need for twisting. Once the device is clamped on, the remainder of the wire can simply be pulled out, leaving the insulation behind.
How is math important to engineers?
Engineering is maths.
Every branch of Engineering (Chemical, Process, Stationary, Mechanical, Electrical etc.) is based in the application of math to the physical world to describe the transfer of heat, energy, mass and momentum. Math details the impact of stress, strain, erosive chemicals and heat on systems. Math is used in risk management, cost estimation, life span calculations, scale up and downsizing.
What is the use of venturimeter?
Venturimeter is the short pipe having two conical parts and portion of uniform cross section between these two parts.
What objects do reflect light well?
reflect light well-normally shinysmooth pale colour objects: mirror, glass, shiny metal, tin foil...these objects favour a good image due to the reflection of light is regular do not reflect light well-usually rough, matt , dark colured objects: tree trunk, car wheel, dark carboard, brick, stone, dark opaque plastic... These objects diffuse the picture or do not giva a picture at all because reflected light is irregular.

What are the disadvantage of workgroup computer?
It is possible to network several computers using a wireless connection in a workgroup. However, a workgroup has disadvantages such as setting up accounts each with a password, takes time to setup, not easy to expand and file sharing has a maximum limit.
a lens will refract light. a mirror will reflect the light.
What are fifty examples of products of technology?
Technology has no products.
Engineering produces technologies as its products.
Why AC is generated instead of DC?
Alternating current is much more efficient to transmit than direct current. Using transformers, it can be stepped up to high voltages for transmission over long distances using relatively small conductors, and then stepped down at the destination to provide high current.
Engineering drawing what types do you use when interrelate?
I don't use engineering drawings.... I guess?!
Do rubber bands last longer if stored in freezer?
no because they'll go really brittle and will snap much easily
What is the need of industrial sociology in engineering?
through industrial sociology,an engineers can easily adapt the environment in a industry.an engineer understand the social relationship in idustry like formal, informal, mixed relation.if an engineer is a team leader and group mmebers are not worked properly then through the help of sociology he can solve the problem between the group members nad work shoul be done on time and tension free.
I DONT KNOW WHEN CAM WAS INVENTED BUT CAD WAS INVENTED BY Ivan Sutherland IN 1961!
P.S YOU ARE A 5TUP1D P3R50N!!!
!!!YOU SHOULD HAVE LOOKED IT UP ON MSN!!!!!!!!!!!MSN!!!!!!!!The basic SI unit of power is the Watt. Power can also be measured in microwatts, milliwatts, kilowatts, Megawatts etc.
There are alternative ways of measuring power, especially for heat energy, like calories per second or BTU per hour.
How splash lubrication system work?
In a lathe gearbox it is hard for different lubricating types to lubricate the gearbox so splash lubrication is the easiest way to lubricate it. Splash lubrication is a method of applying lubricant, to parts of a machine, or certain parts of an engine, teeth on the connecting-rod bearing caps are submerged in an oil container when it rotates. When the dippers emerge from the oil container, the oil is splashed onto the cylinders and pistons, lubricating them. This stage is repeated throughout the use of the lathe always properly lubricating the gearbox.
Engines are normally lubricated using force feeding lubrication and splash lubrication. The force fed lubrication is used to keep the oil container full whenever the splash lubrication is being used. Normally the oil used in splash lubrication has to have a low viscosity because if the oil is too thick the tooth that dips into the oil container will either pick up a very small amount or pick up none at all.
Which field of engineering focuses on construction of structures such as dams roads and buildings?

One thousand memory locations?
The term for one-thousand memory locations is Kilobyte. It is not actually 1,000 but it is 1,024 memory addresses. This comes from the binary world of computers where things are measured in powers of 2. In the decimal world that we usually live in 10 raised to the 3rd power (10^3) = 1000. The closest equivalent in the binary numbering system is 2 raised to the 10th power (2^10) = 1024.
How do you create a new account on Skype?
download the application, you can do it through the interface!
Go to Skype.com, and click 'Get Skype'. Now, select your operating System (OS) your computer is. Then click 'Download Skype'.
If you are a Android user, go to your 'Android Market'. Then look up 'Skype' in Apps. Then click 'Install'.
If you are a iPhone/iPod user, go to your app called 'App Store'. Search: 'Skype'.
Then click 'Install'.
Now, For the above instructions for all 3 of those options, You should see 'Dont have a Skype name?' somewhere on the application's startup. Click it. Then from there you follow the easy to use step-by-step instructions. It's that easy!

What is the difference between baseband coaxial and broadband coaxial cable?
The difference between baseband coaxial and broadband coaxial cable is baseband coaxial technology uses digital signaling in which the cable carries only one type of digital signal. Where as the broadband coaxial technology typically transmits analog signals and is capable of transmitting multiple frequencies of data simultaneously.

What is the difference between a general engineering contractor and a general building contractor?
A general engineering contractor is a contractor whose principal contracting business is in connection with fixed works requiring specialized engineering knowledge and skill, including irrigation, drainage, water power, water supply, flood control, inland waterways, harbors, docks and wharves, shipyards, roadways, airports, bridges, etc. A general building contractor simply builds buildings.
What is the weight of a full 5 gallon bucket?
5 UK Gallons is equivalent to 22.75 litres. (1 UK Gallon = 4.54 Litres)
5 US Gallons is equivalent to 18.93 litres. (1 US Gallon = 3.7854 Litres)
One litre of water = 1 kg (2.205 lbs), at sea level, pure water at 4 degrees C, so:
5 UK Gallons = 22.70 kg (50.05 lbs)
5 US Gallons = 18.93 kg (41.73 lbs)
So the answer is either 50.05 lbs or 41.73 lbs, depending on whether you are using UK or US Gallons, respectively.
